No.

Even though I have skin like a pizza I would never stoop that low. I fear that we are turning into a nation of walking vaginas.

I moisturise after I shave....about once every 4 or 5 days. I use Oil of Ulay Complete Care, it really looks after my skin, so I don't have to.

That's a cool thread. When I read the title I thought it'd be boring but it's great actually.
I don't moisturize. I hate that.

Llama, you sound like you've watched one too many commercials for said moisutrizer. I suppose I use shaving cream, but I think that's different than lotion. Also, if a female were to approach me with body butter, I suppose I might make an exception on my 'no moisturizer' stance. :)

It's important to try and offset the damage that UV has on your skin. If I was in Australia, for example, I'd use sunblock and moisturiser. I find stubble does a similar job on the days I don't shave.

no. i do however suffer from DRY SKIN. there's nothing manly about flaking skin.

well, to be honest, i don't really have that dry skin normally. but i'm starting to use this acne cream which really dries out my face... so i'm probably gonna have to combat that with a good, oil free, non-comedogenic moisturiser, you know what i mean?

i bought this E45 moisturising lotion today without doing my research, turns out it contains mineral oil(s) which could counteract the effects of the acne stuff.. but you know, people react to stuff differently, so i might give it a try, see how it turns out - not sure if i want to spend more money on moisturiser you see!

god, skin products fascinate me. what do you guys use to wash btw? shower gel, soap...? particular brands?

Yup. You're being railroaded by the cosmetics companies into buying two products when you could probably get away with none. :P

I have a feeling that the acne cream you may be using is probably not that good. Instead of 'cleansing', it is just drying out your face which, basically, forces your skin to produce more oil to protect it, and then adding moisturizer on top is probably going to make things wose overall. But what do I know?

i'm using benzoyl peroxide which is one of the best treatments for acne. it kills the P.acnes bacteria (and unlike antibiotics they don't become resistant to it)... the dryness is an unfortunate side effect but it doesn't negate the anti-bacterial effect... plus sensible moisturisation should help :)

Is your acne bad enough for Accutane/Isotretinoin? Just a thought, but here are the drawbacks. You have to join (actually I just spotted you are in the UK...but I am sure they have a similar program)the iPledge program (pretty sure even if you are a male...think it still gets into the germ cells), you can't donate blood, risk of aggresive behavior. Anyone remember Thalidomide?

Believe it is also used I (also known as 13-cis Retinoic Acid) post stem cell transplant usually for neuroblastoma.

well i've been reading a lot of acne.org - this guy with his hyped miracle regimen. he said accutane was pretty good and cleared up the acne on his back, but as soon as he stopped it came back on his face... i might consult my GP

Always shower gel always with the body puff things (because they're ace) but not brand specific.

Moisturise like it's going out of fashion. It's a real hard water area here and it dries the skin out especially, on my hands and legs, terribly. Body shop body butter in avacado or olive is a very neutral scented very rich moisturiser. I have it in coconut too but it's a little too strongly scented for my tastes. It's fairly pricey (varies between £5 and £10 a tub) but because it's so thick lasts forever and does the job well.

Years ago I read about an actress from the old days, maybe Mae West or Greta Garbo, who said that every night, before bed, she would cover herself, head to toe, in vaseline, and that was how she stayed so young looking.

It makes sense, and I've heard of girls putting it around their eyes, or their entire faces before bed.

I just use it on my nose before bed if I have a cold- it keeps the skin from getting dried out and irritated from blowing your nose.

I use a Neutrogena "Razor Defense" lotion after I shave b/c my face gets too dry afterward. Besides, my gf likes the way it smells.

If you put toothpaste on your balls it feels very cool and tingly. Just try a little.

Interesting, but I don't really like the feeling.
