Obviously everyone on this site loves Frank to pieces but I just thought this would be an interesting thing to discuss. You dont have to necessarily hate the songs, just suggest a couple of songs that haven't jumped out and bit you on the ass like the rest of his catalogue. If someone put a gun to my head, I would have to say I've never liked
Freedom Rock The Marsist All My Ghosts Atom in my heart
Now your turn
A pig or a goat well, they wouldn’t let you be mistreated

ALL MY GHOSTS!!!!!! I'M SHOCKED!!!! But, one persons favourite can be another persons least favourite. It's all just opinions. I'd probably go for...
Fu Manchu Brackish Boy Tossed
Maybe I just need to give that album another couple of listens.

Horrible Day.
Never much liked Punk Rock City, You Ain't Me, Jesus Was Right, Creature Crawling, or Dance War. |

skeleton man : ( - any song that mentions "corn" or "shrimp" just bugs me whiskey in your shoes : ( - don't like the music, but it is a funny song (or sad) suffering : ( - the melody is so.. how can I say.. tame? hermaphroditos : ( - ditto, and the octave-switch bugs me song of the shrimp : ( - see above
I tend to skip those, then try to listen to them every so often, only to renew my dislike. That bein' said, that's 5 out of... 270 or so? Quite a batting average. Only other artiste I like such a big % of their repertoire is that brickie with a quiff, the Mozzer. |

Always, or just in this song?
If the former, crap. Lots of my songs I sing the vocal melody in 2 octaves. |

There's only one song of him that I truly hate, it's You're Such A Wire. Other than that, I don't really care for Are You Headed My Way, Pure Denizen of the Citizens Band, Smoke Up and a couple more from Pistolero.

"Dance War" The first FB song I didn't like- those lyrics.
"Jane The Queen of Love" again, right from the beginning, I can't get past the lyrics and I have to skip over it to the next song.
"The Snake" This one I won't even try to listen to.
"Snake Oil" Again, the lyrics really put me off.

Wow. I see so many of my favorites posted on this thread. Very surprising. I have no love for Jet Black River and Llano Del Rio.

Definitely 666, the album version isn't too awful actually, but I remember seeing Frank live in Portland twice and Vancouver, and all three nights he played it live, and it's slow, takes away from the rhythm of the show, just sucked the life out of me. Gah!
Of course, it's not a Frank song, so I don't feel so bad. :)
As for FB songs, Punk Rock City I definitely skip. Also really dislike Goodbye Lorraine.
I'm a little surprise to see Everytime I Go Around Here so widely disliked. I can't believe anyone listed Steak 'n' Sabre, Freedom Rock, or Fu Manchu, or New House of the Pope!

Blasphemy! This song rocks so hard there aren't enough superlatives to describe its brilliance!
Then again, each to his own yadda yadda yadda etc etc Personally Im not a big fan of most of the stuff on Cult of Ray, bar Men in Black, You aint me, Dance War, I Dont Wanna hurt you and Shazeeb Andleeb I think its by far the weakest album. *awaits abuse*

Yeah, The Snake is a short simple song but I'm a sucker for sax solos. Basically I like it because it sounds so much like Roxy Music. You almost don't notice it on SMYT cause it's less than 2 mns long but it does rock.

Actually, just adding to the ones I said earlier I usually skip 'Blast Off'. It's not that I dislike it but I usually can't be arsed with sitting through 7 minutes of it.
[EDIT] - I've just realised that another song I always skip is 'Honeycomb'. It bores the life out of me and is definitely my pick for lowlight of the album.

Funny, Honeycomb in my opinion is the best song on the album (faint praise).

****OPINION ALERT**** Most of the songs listed in this thread are WAY off!! And to think that I felt guilty for not liking Jet Black River and Llano Del Rio. Most of you should be downright ashamed of yourselves!!

Songs i usually skip:
Fazer Eyes The Hostess With The Mostess Bad Wicked World Kicked in the Taco Dance War Pray A Little Faster Everybody Got The Beat I Love Your Brain You're Such A Wire So Hard To Make Things Out Jet Black River Whispering Weeds Bartholomew Are You Headed My Way? Lone Child Go Find Your Saint Atom in my Heart Violet
I skip many of them not because they aren't good songs, but just because i feel the albums sound better without them in that spot. Also, that list may look like a lot, but when you consider how many albums thats drawn from (all the Pixies/FB albums),i only have 18 songs i skip.
