I was a goalie/defenceman when I was younger. Now I play midfield, but in any case I did hate when a goal was scored but loved when I made a huge save. I remember widing up in the splits as I jammed one leg out way to the right and blocked it but it rebounded and they shot again to the other side of the net and my left leg went out and stopped that one too. Hurt a bit, but not as much as it would now. :)
So I really dislike the idea of no goalies. Parents should be involved in making everyone see it's a team game and the goalie is but a part, and perhaps recognize that if there is an esteem issue, it's either coming from other kids who need a talking to or the parents themselves. But anyway, that's cool Superabounder. Nice story.
