BTW, Benji on what date was that show recorded? According to www.pixieslive.com they played Brixton 25/26 of June, but the setlist is identical for both nights.

The video was recorded on the 26th. at the beginning of the happening, frank says they're playing the same setlist as the night before, but that he thinks they can play it better tonight.
ps. the happening is phenomenal!!!!

There are other trackers than Dime, so we could expect the whole show. |

I have a really good transfer of this show on dvd...but it has no chapters...the picture is pretty much detailed, no colors bleed, etc....by the way, I've seen some very bad transfer around. I can't upload it anywhere though....if someone is willing to upload it somewhere I'll send out a copy, just pm me. |

First you need to download a client, I suggest utorrent (http://www.utorrent.com), then you download the .torrent file from the tracker (in this case ZOMB) which should open with utorrent. Once this has happened you will connect to all the other people on the torrent and you will start to download peices of the files from them all. At the same time you will be uploading the peices of the file you have already recieved to the other incomplete people. Under the settings you can adjust maximum upload and download speeds as you can swamp your connection if you upload too fast. Once you have finished you can leave utorrent open and uploading to help other incomplete people out, most trackers keep track of your up/down ratio and it's good manners to upload as much as you are able. If you are behind a router you might have to forward some ports to get good speeds.
Oh if the torrent contains multiple fiels you can choose to prioritise which ones to download first and you can also choose to skip files completly.

Thanks for the link Benji
I've downloaded the show from Zombtracker, much better picture quality than the one torrented on Dime last year. It also has excellent menu and chapters.

the people you are uploading to etc - they are just people that happen to be downloading the show at the same time as you? is that the way it works? and if so, what if there is nobody? or do you have to wait around till there is sufficient numbers? probably won't download this as i have it on video, just wondering in general... and any torrent client can can handle any torrent scenario? |

That is the way it works. If there are no people connected then you won't be able to download anything. The clients mostly do the same thing, some have features others dont like encyrption of schedulers.

Very intense, simply unbelievable the sheer intensity they could muster in their heyday
Curse UK isp's and their restricted upload rates - currently uploading at a pitiful 34kbps, though thats the quickest upload rate I've seen with my connection.

doog, just open a dvd burning program - like nero, and choose a dvd-video format and drag everything but the md5 file into the 'video_ts' folder and burn. but as it's ntsc, you'll have to check whether your dvd player will play ntsc format. but if it's reasonably new, it shouldn't have any problems.
if you wanna look at it on your computer before burning, try to open the vob files - but it'll depend on what video watching software yoiu've got on your 'puter
give that a shot.

Shitballs. I don't have a dvd burning programme, let alone a dvd burning drive. In my infinate ignorance, I just presumed they'd be PC-friendly video files.
Well, that was a waste of 3 days.

well, you can still watch them by opening the vob files, but yeah, a dvd burner is kinds required to watch these properly.

DivX player will play them on your PC. Just download that.... that's what I used. And it works a treat.

If you have any kind of DVD playing software like PowerDVD or WinDVD or possibly even Windows Media Player those should do the trick. The VIDEO_TS folder is the same thing as would be on an actual DVD disc. The MD5 file is just an integrity checking thing, it makes a unique code from the file size and then when you run it again it checks the files are identical to when the MD5 was created but you don't really need it because BitTorrent has a similar thing built in. Anyway try dragging the VIDEO_TS folder onto your DVD playing software and see what happens, it's worth a shot. Infact I just checked and if you open VIDEO_TS.VOB in Windows Media Player it works fine. If for some reason WMP for windows 98 is different and won't work try downloading Media Player Classic from here http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303&package_id=84358 it's a standalone exe so you don't even have to install anything, then open the VOB files manually.

I've tried to put this onto a DVD but can't seem to get it to play once the menu comes on. What have I done wrong? Any chance someone could go through all the steps to successfully burn it to a DVD? I am using nero by the way. Thanks.

Managed to get it working on my dad's pc- it's a pretty cool show, but you can see the tension there already. The absolute pinnacle/s for me during the show are the face Joey makes to the camera during the little lead break in Here Comes Your Man.. and Chuck's singing/face/movements in the verse straight after Joey's noise part in Vamos. Absolutely hilarious!
