'The end of medicine' by the New Pornographers sounds very much like something Frank could have come up with in his first two solo albums. |

Monster Hospital by Metric sounds like a Pixies or Frank Black tune. I guess many Metric songs do in fact.

Always. But out of curiosity, what would you do if i sang out of tune, would you stand up and walk out on me?
The start of 'Sad Man's Song' sounds (vaguely) like 'Apache'. |

Theres a modest mouse song "The view" where I could swear there is the same part as on Ole Mullholland. with the buiihorn part like when he goes....The concrete from the aquaduct will last as long as the pyramids of egypt......
wish I could be as cool as Kim Deal |

Mexican Radio? I don't hear ANY similarities.
Also, am I the only one who think They Might Be Giant's "Dig My Grave" sounds like a Pixies song?
What's the sense in ever thinking about the tomb When you're much too busy returning to the womb? |

Pavement's Lorettas' Scars uses a similar chord progression to Debaser!

The beginning of the XTC song "Shake You Donkey Up" sounds similar to the beginning of "Kicked In The Taco."
"If you doze much longer, then life turns to dreaming. If you doze much longer, then dreams turn to nightmares." |

Dreaming Of 4000 by Electric Light Orchestra, especially once Jeff breaks into the vocal delivery of the chorus, to me really reminds me of Charles. The similarity is especially pronounced on the alternate mix which is entitled "Mambo," and is a little more raw/less produced. |
