Im almost new introduced to Frank Black. I heard his voice first around 1997, when i bought the X-Files Sampler (Songs in the key of X). Frank Black donated "Man of steel" to this compilation (which is GREAT by the way).
Well, this moment was magic. His voice and his whole song-structures are out of this world, so strong and vulnerable at the same time - but always full of hope and light.
But it tooks years (since 2004) for me to get really into Black. I got to know the pixies (at least their music) and it was a second blast. I don´t have to tell you, as you might think the same about it. Just an impact.
The recent Shock (in a positive way) was Honeycomb. Exactly what i needed (still need). Soulfood, pure soulfood. It yawns life.
So let me say "Thank you" Mr. Black for sharing you talent with me and all of us.

Welcome, Waiu! Were you trying to choose a screen name with as many vowels in a row as humanly possible?

Not really, no. Waiu (Spell Why-you) is my nickname for a long time now, and it was a random creation. I learned it means 'Milk' in native Hawaiian. Well...

This reminds me of the scene in Wayne's World, where Alice Cooper is explaining the meaning of Milwaukee!
