Anybody hear this show. I just got it the other day. Its a FB solo show supposedly from 1992. i think the show took place earlier because there is no song from Trompe on there. All other albums are covered. If you come across a copy I highly suggest purchasing. The sound quality is good for a bootleg. Its really interesting to hear these songs without the other members of the Pixies. You really appreciate what the others add to the songs

yeah it is. the whole set is really interesting. the only obvious omission that i can think of is hey. and its really annoying near the end of the recording where people keep requesting hey over and over again. but its small problem to an otherwise wonderful show.

I feel this recording proves otherwise. As great as he is solo, the songs have much more weight and depth with the Pixies backing him. Their combined contribution to the material is as important as the songs themselves

It's the opposite for me. Listening makes me appreciate Frank even more and not miss the others. I guess it was the timing, a period of anticipation of whatever he was gonna do next (not that anybody could have ever anticipated or imagined TOTY etc.). Just a thought.

Yeah, that's one of the first Pixies boots I found and I loved it. I think the acoustic Frank + Joey show at McCabes might be better though, cause well, Joey's there. But The Dream Is Over is quite fantastic.

I'm a little confused about the McCabes Frank and Joey show... was that Pixies era?

I think it was on March 22, 1991, so yes.

I must have a tape somewhere from a similar show from belgium, summer 2002 Pukkelpop Festival.
And if memory serves well, I have a nother CD bootleg of a show. Most of mu stuff is packed in boxes somewhere, so I can't check it now...

Does anyone know how many shows he did like this?
