This was my first and now, unfortunately, only Frank Black and the Catholics gig. Great, great night. I was front row, dead center; could've yanked Frank right off the stage (if I were Superman). Dave Lovering gave me a pair of sunglasses, and The Bennies played "La La Love You" with him and his girlfriend on vocals; I believe at the time it was the debut of the song live, albeit with only one band member. And the audience as a whole acted like complete dickheads to Reid Paley (but hey, that's Boston for you), except for this one scary stalker chick who kept soliciting him with beers and come-on notes.

Looking back at the show now, though, I really have to kick myself for not keeping track of Frank's setlist. Anyone happen to know what was played?

I take 'Bad Day' to mean 'Horrible Day', and like the original post says, some songs maybe missing.

EDIT: i'm just staring at this setlist in awe. what a gig!

NEXT MISSION: to track down a recording.

I was at that show. It was great. It was just two months after my father died and I remember thinking as I left the show that I kind of felt normal for the first time in awhile.

Thanks Frank, Dave, Dave, Rich, and Scott.

Thalassocracy... Dog In The Sand... Songs rarely performed around that time.

Mrgrieves1971 : that's the magic of music.
