I didn't see any related threads to this so here she goes.
Are there any songs so annoying that you'd contemplate suicide before listening to them voluntarily?

Mine would have to be the Bare Naked Ladies song where he talks real fast about wasabi and action films and such, I can't remember the name.

I love Relax :D I had both their albums. Liverpool was actually pretty good.

Anything by UB40 induces the vomit.

"Love after love" by Cher is pretty awful. I always like when they computerize a vocal part to make it sound all modern when it's obvious they're only doing it because the performer couldn't hit the note. Cracks me up, J Ho does that a lot too.

Heywood I used to share an office with a Barenakedladies fan who also loved a good bit of Chaz and Dave - another vomit inducing act.

I'd like to add to those - Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Robbie Williams.

(I'll be back - there are more)

Fire made it good.

Kenny G and Michael Bolton have to join that list too.

edit: while some of you may think I'm veering dangerously off topic and just stating artists, in fact I'm referring to their entire catalogue.

Wonderwall by Oasis, Alabama Song _ Bowie Version, anything by Alanis Morrisette.

This is a high class bureau de change, not some Punch & Judy show on the seafront at Margate!

Oh crap, yes. The Alanis song where she's got one hand in her pocket and the other is doing something else. Makes me shudder to even think about it. Southpark did an excellent parody of that video, so that's one good thing about that song.

I third or fourth U2, i realise for some people over 25 they were quite important and must have sounded fresh at the time but its hard to like them when you've only grown up during their Nauseating Period.

I think U2 is a good band, they just get waaaaaaaaay too much exposure. That uno, dos, tres, catorce song is pretty bad though. They should have called it quits after ATYCLB.

In case anyone missed this last time I posted it.
Ladies and Gentleman...

Elevation:

High, higher than the sun
You shoot me from a gun
I need you to elevate me here
At corner of your lips
As the orbit of your hips
Eclipse
You elevate my soul

I've got no self control
Been living like a mole now
Going down, excavation
I and I in the sky
You make me feel like I can fly
So high
Elevation

A star
Lit up like a cigar
Strung out like a guitar
Maybe you can educate my mind

Explain all these controls
Can't sing but I've got soul
The goal is elevation

A mole
Digging in a hole
Digging up my soul now
Going down, excavation

I and I in the sky
You make me feel like I can fly
So high
Elevation

Love
Lift me up out of these blues
Won't you tell me something true
I believe in you

A mole
Digging in a hole
Digging up my soul now
Going down, excavation

Higher now
In the sky
You make me feel like I can fly
So high
Elevation

Elevation
Elevation
Elevation

I don't know about you, but I have bought a bit of sick up.

I'm really ashamed to admit it but I liked this song when it came out as well. It's one of them catchy tunes that kind of rots your brain. "A now! yer a rawk star!"
