we played...we played good. people complimented us on our use of snapping guitar chords and layered vocals. one gig we played three versions of one song. it was a song about breathing. the air flows and air circuits. to prove we were art rock we showed projected images behind us. the song we played had one riff which we played over and over again to be art. it was also art the way we had distortion.

we sacrificed it in the name of art. we are thinking of slaying each other and pumping each other full of wax as a way of demonstrating our current direction. |

Shudder to Think is (was) the only art-rock band I can take seriously. The others, you can get the same noise from 3 chimpanzees with instruments.

three chimpanzees you say?? i like that concept. It would reflect the primal nature of music. behind the monkeys i will project images of machinery and industry to contrast the chimps natural energy. now that's art!!!! |

Maybe Homer's Pet Monkey could get involved with that.
I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied. |

I'm game.
Actually no I'm not, I'm a monkey.
I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place

Not advisable. A 'game monkey' could get shot by a poacher!
I'm just going to crawl under a big 'unfunny' stone for an hour.... |

Or I could be eaten by a lion. Good to see we were heading in the same rubish direction there Carl.

*shifts over and hands Homer's a cuppa*
Has anyone herd of the Fluxus movement? Beck's grandfather Al Hansen was involved in it. And I think Beck and his brother have done Fluxus-style performances, too-it's just a random, anything-goes thing, I think. Yoko Ono is another exponent.
