...on fashion tv. absolutely the best television there is.
there is something about lingerie models. fashion tv is normally pretty boring cause all the models modelling the clothes are so skinny, with no bouncy or squidgy bits, whereas the lingerie models have to be able to fill out the "clothes", which equals more pleasure for me (and everyone else).
i just had to sit thru 20 minutes of a victoria secrets fashion show. i don't know how i did it.

so would it be in the realms of 'on-topic' to post picturs of Victoria's Secret lingerie models? |

Pardon me for getting all serious and shit but I must assert that there is something right and natural about men wanting to see women in lingerie. Yes, I know: what could be more obvious? However, here at our own altar of Frank we would be chastised for admitting something so true. Without picking overmuch at our recent wound, one might think that given Herr Noisy's vehement and autocratic denial of nature, perhaps he might look into his own pathology before recommending feminist thought. Liberation yes, denial no. Prudence yes, prude no.
The consolations of the male American insomniac include "Fashion Trance", my kind of music video. |

Desperation for pillows? Slumped on the floor? These shows are taking their toll on the boys. Pace yourself. |

If I had a Tivo I'd Tivo that for future reference. In fact my Tivo would be one giant mass of reference.

Style t.v is funny. Every time I see runway models I always think of Ali G doing the kick worm. |

Every time I see runway models, I wish it were the OTHER kind of runway. Because, you know, then they'd all get run over by airplanes, right?
Okay, not really. I just felt like saying something hilariously cruel.

Isn't objectifying part of human nature? When you stop objectifying in a relationship isn't that when it's over?
And are men even really that into lingerie? Far too often it feels like I've spent a stupid amount of money on something that is largely ignored.

yes, i very much agree with floop. it's much more exciting (somethimes, but not always) when there's something left up to the imagination. hence why pam anderson is gross!

I find I only need to watch those shows for about 6-7 minutes. Then I lose interest. But about a half hour later I gain interest again. Then 6-7 minutes later, I suddenly lose interest. Then I need a nap. |

Something tells me we're operating on different definitions of the word "objectifying" here. Seeing your partner as an object is never a good thing, I should think.

Last time I tried loosening up, my head fell off. Took forever to get the thing reattached.
Seriously, though, how could objectifying ever be a good thing?

I'm thinking of a "consenting adults can have all kinds of fun" type of answer.

I dunno about VV but have not. But I have signed up my kid for a hockey clinic only so I could ogle the coaches.
Other parents were hoping for improved puck-handling skills, I was going for objectification.
