I don't smoke anymore but I remember the first time I got truely baked. I rolled my own and smoked up in my "treehouse" (it's elevated, not exactly in a tree) outside like, an hour/half hour before my parents got home from work. Between the time I left the treehouse and got in the house (about a minute) it really hit me...I ran into the bathroom and just stared at myself, everything was so wack, my vision was pretty crazy. So I started panicking like "what the fuck am I gonna do!?!?" and I decided in my purple haze that I would lay on the couch and watch TV, and I can pretend I fell asleep or something. So I'm watching TV, and mistakingly turned on Dragonball Z, which FREAKED ME THE FUCK OUT, so I turned something else on. I felt all weird and I thought I had pissed my pants, so I kept rubbing my pants with my hands (which felt very weird and it was really hard to tell) and smelled them...they smelled like weed which kinda smelled like piss so I thought I did piss my pants (I didn't). I ended up going to the bathroom, then laid back down and just kept freaking out thinking I was busted cause I prolly smelled like weed (or at least my hair). It was really weird. I'm wondering if it was laced!
Another time I smoked some and I was sitting in a chair and I felt like I was melting. Weed and alcohal just put me to sleep...I'm not a very fun drunk/stoner. |

I not big into the whole stoner culture but I like to have an alterantive to drinking. It takes about half an hour for the yogurt to work, but I dont like smoking if I'm not drinking so it's just more pleasant(It's healthier then smoking raw tabacco but I don't think it's good for you anyway?). Smoking is meant to give you a more potent high but I had some intense sessions on yogurts, I think I over compensate and put to much in because my eyes are bigger then my stomach if you know what I mean. You have to swallow each mouthful whole or else you'll get bites stuck in your teeth!, but it's good for bringing to things like festivals and generally hanging out so your not walking around with a joint. Americans smoke more weed then hash though?, its the resin I put in my Cherry Muller.
I find getting stoned pretty anti-social and I only really enjoy when it we have some really funny stuff to watch and I can laugh my tits off, or listening to some really good music. Anyboby ever made muffins?

Actually, it isn't nice at all when you get those really intense highs, one time I thought I was a robot and I was walking around like the tinman from the Wizard of Oz and my mind was a computer, far as to say I had to lay down and become a human again but I really like warm and cosey feeling you get afterwards.

| I haven't been able to get properly baked since high school. I've tried a couple of times, but I get this freaky sensation as though there were a giant screw eye screwed into the top of my skull and a big piece of piano wire strung through it and being strummed. Horrible feeling. Like my brain is trying to detach itself from the inside of my skull. Nope, it's stout or muscle relaxers (prescription, honest!) for me. |

Wow, that sounds like it sucks. That's really awful.
I do not have that problem. I NEVER got high in high school. The first time I ever got high was on the way back from Louisville KY back to Bowling Green where I went to college at Western Kentucky.
The first time I got high, I remained high (or at least it felt like that) all day. I dabbled here and there all through college but I graduated in 1994 winter. I was 22 and it wasn't till about the time I was 29 when I started smoking a bit more, and now I try to do it at least once a week if I am lucky.
I have had 2 major freak out moments that were not pleasant in all that time. I think I am used to it now, though the really really good stuff still puts me in a tizzy. But I can maintain now.
I have to say, hands down, I am not a drinker. I'd rather have pot anyday of the week. I guess it just seems to fit my personality and it really helps me not be so wound up all the time. My basement is suited for pot smoking. I have all my toys, the stereo and TV and computer. I love to get baked, listen to music, chat about complete nonsense with my buddies. It's really not harming anyone and to me is a beautiful and relaxing experience.
Not to mention the fact that when my wife and I smoke it we get incredibally randy and squoink like rabbits in marathon bouts of sexual xtc.
But all that aside, I LOVE to listen to music high. I wish I was high right now.

Yeah, maybe it has something to do with the fact that I started smoking herb way too young. I had the corrupting influence of much older siblings and was getting stoned by the age of 12 or 13. Probably fried my little synapses or something.
I developed a pretty impressive drinking habit in grad school, but now I limit myself to the very occasional single beer/glass of wine. It's no fun to get falling-down, face-numbing drunk when you're responsible for little people. Go figure.
Quite honestly, I think I would love to recreationally take a heavy-duty strength valium every other week or so. Maybe it's motherhood, but my idea of a perfect mini-vacation involves a dark, quiet room and a prescription sedative. Or maybe just a nap. Mmmmmm. |

I've done it a handful of times and almost every time I've had a really bad experience where I feel like time is skipping; like it's moving forward, yet stopping at the same time. This makes me claustrophobic and paranoid. My buzz usually lasts a horrendously long time and while everyone else has passed out, I'm left alone to freak out. The next day if I don't have a headache (which I do sometimes) I'm cloudy headed for a day or two afterwards. I know what you're going to say "Must be really bad weed." Well, some of it was and some of it definitely wasn't. Maybe I'm allergic to it. I have no desire to do it now and that's probably for the best. It never opened my mind or made me see things in a new light as much as running 3-4 miles does.

I smoke. Daily. Mucho. I'm a musichead and I tink de herb mon really fits hand in glove with those who love good tunes. I saw Frank in Columbus and in Cleveland on this past tour stoned to the bone. It helps me follow that steel guitar sound to parts unknown. |

i work in a shop at the weekends. the amount of times i have served people buying a cake, three packets of crisps, a bar of chocolate, a yoghurt, a pizza and have asked them if they want red rizzla - only for them to say - no maaaan - we have them already - is too numerous to count. our tinfoil sales have rocketed!! (another plagiarised simpsons joke m'fraid).

Marijuana is not really for me as I sometimes get really intense out of body feeling type sensations . That said, I do prefer a world that smokes a little rather than drinks too much.
Alcohol, for me anyways, is a great thing when consumed in a single malt or stout form. The bad thing about it though, is it is so terribly damaging to those in a an already precarious state of being.
Think about it: what is the worst thing that ever happened when someone smoked too much? Oh god!!! Someone ate my sandwich!!!!! |

It's great to see all those americans smoking pot and stuff.
I'm from Holland and I never ever had any. How cool is that?
That's the great thing about legalising drugs, over here it isn't a big deal to smoke, so if you want it you can get it. But there's nothing spectacular about it. Everyone is doing it and that's why
a lot of people don't do it (make any sense)
The only bad thing is (that's why I don't do drugs) that smoking pot
on a heavy daily base (and that isn't a hard thing to do over here)
really fucks you up. I know a couple of guys who are always stoned
even if they didn't smoke that day. It's living it's own life. They're spitting on the ground all the time, they don't giggle,
they don't start eating, they don't see lights, or spaceships. They uhhhhh.......just stand, relax. I don't know. Really become disasters. Their brains melt...
And that's not cool.
But a joint every now and then. Great!
nothing wrong with that.

So this one time, a bunch of us at school, real high, decided it would be a great idea to attend the afternoon's P.E lesson.
Three of us were left in the changing rooms after wrestling with out shirts and giving up.
Then imagine how much fun it was to mess around with the trampolines...
I swear to you if haven't lived till you've been stoned on a trampoline.
Course the upshot was the meanest damn case of the munchies ever...

Isn't anybody here worried that the government is monitoring what you type? They really do that. How do you think they bust people with Kiddie Porn?
I think it is ridiculous how strict this country is when it comes to drugs, specifically marijuana.
If it supposedly makes people stupid, shouldn't they want everyone to smoke it?
That is just it. It doesn't make people stupid when used in the right way. I know people that have gotten straight A's in college, and they were stoned a lot.
It seems too risky anymore. A lot of people are getting busted. As unfair as it seems, it doesn't seem worth it. Especially when you have a lot to lose.
Manditory Minimums are evil...Thank you Ronald "Ronnie the Red" Reagan.
It would be a shame to lose so much over such a petty thing.
How about some Ether? |
