To be fair I was gonna post the exact same thing as Dayanara, but feared it would be misunderstood as it was.
On the other side of it, I think there are a lot more people who are more comfortable with their sexuality now than there were years ago, and perhaps that is why there seems to be more people saying that they are Bi. It's more accepted within society so you hear about it more. At first I thought that it may just be the case that a lot of people are saying they are Bi just be 'trendy', but I think maybe it is just that it is less frightening for an individual to declare it.
Here's a question for you Marsist, in relation to what Dayanara said. Does it annoy you in any way to see what seems to be a current trend of girls snogging other girls in public (and I'm talking about the ones who do it just to attract the boys or attention in general), when people like yourself who are genuinely Bi, or even homosexual, suffer for years because they were afraid to reveal their true sexuality? Or would it annoy you more if it was males doing it? I am just interested to see if it bothers you in any way or if you couldn't give a shit because it's their choice to do what the hell they want.

i have a friend, shes not a good friend more a friend of a friend.she always tells this storie of a time when she and 3 other girls "experimented".at first i was like okay whatever, but then one day i was introduced to one of the girls she supposdly "experimented" with and as it turns out it never happened.now she is a prime example of the trendy bi and that kinda pisses me off because she is just lieing to get attention, and she only tells the story to males.
but on the other hand if she wants to go around lieing its up to her i just dont want to hear any of it.
im not sure if that answers your question homers.

Yes it does and I think that's pretty much how I would feel in your situation.
I have a found myself surrounded by people coming out as BI recently, two of them are close friends (actually didn't come out at all, it was the other friend that told me), but thankfully I can safely say they would not lie about this sort of thing. Only one of them is male though so it's good to see someone like yourself and my friend being brave enough to tell people because (and I could be completely wrong on this) it seems harder for males to declare bisexuality because it seems less accepted in society (man must live up to the macho stereotype after all *sigh*).
I am glad you at least feel comfortable enough to talk about it openly here. It's a good start.

well i think... Alfred Kinsey and his theory of sexuality says it right.
80% of us are "bi" to varying degrees
10% are exclusively "gay"
10% are exclusively straight.
from what i know of the gay community... bi's are shunned.... because they are not seen as fully "gay" and fully accepted in the gay community.
also, a lot of people when coming out as gay find it more comfortable to say "bi" and then move towards the direction of "gay" eventually.
i think it's cool to be in touch with your body, your sexuality and all that.
however, i am opposed to chicks to start kissing and groping each other in a bar just to get the attention of guys ... if you want to make out ... make out.. but not to pick up guys.
ok i thought of a better person to kiss... madonna, so i change my vote.

I know of way more girls who claim to be bi than guys. I look at it as the same double-sided bullshit that says that when a guy sleeps with a lot of girls he's a stud but when a girl sleeps with a lot of guys she's a whore. It's just crap. There are so many guys out there who would drool over seeing two girls making out, but would get all up-in-arms about two guys. It's such a double standard. Just because they personally might not want to see it does not mean that the rest of the world should worry about appeasing these guys. There are a lot of girls too who are very negative toward gay or bi men, even some women who are gay or might've been gay at some point in the past themselves. I don't understand it at all. I say, who is it hurting? I've grown up in an era where I can watch two men kiss and not want to go get my shotgun to blast them both into oblivion. All kidding aside, all the "opinions" about bisexuality are just that -- opinions, because individual experiences vary so widely from person to person.

My own bisexuality is not something that many people know about - pretty much for exactly the reasons mentioned in so many of the posts already. I don't need drunk girls trying to make out with me to pick up men in bars and I also don't need the endless begging for a threesome. If I'm making out with a girl the last thing I want is for blokes to think I'm doing it for their enjoyment. If I'm making out with someone believe me, it's entirely for my own benefit.

If you were only gay for an hour rather than a full day, you'd really have to get your skates on. |

Oh! So it's a one hour thing! I don't have enough time to experiment in such a short time.

The more time you spend looking for a partner, the less time for fun. I mean, you don't want to leave yourself with a mere two minutes of sticky fumblings, do you? :) |

This is on the verge of becoming a "who you wish you could sleep with no matter their gender or yours or vital statistics" thread, so I might as well commence posting pix of a certain musician.
