my pleasure.

"If someone wants to hear me wax nostalgic about my records, talk to me in ten years.
[laughs] At the moment, I'm just fucking sick of them."

revisiting this quote, and this time NOT not paying attention to everything after 'well, i thought that "Bossa Nova" was probably the best record.' like a bonehead, two things occured to me that had, for some reason, never occured to me before-

1. for the last couple years i have listened to the pixies albums daily, over and over again, sometimes singling out one album for months at a time, and i've never tired of them, not even a little

and

2. with the exception of every pixies album, the white album, and the lips' yoshimi, no album has inspired me to listen to it again as soon as it ends

i find this amazing.

I must admit, no other band has had such a lasting impression on me than the Pixies.
It's so damn hard to explain why the've hit the spot like no other. a mystery to me.

And i've just realised i haven't listened to Trompe Le Monde in it's entirety in yonks.
This is gonna be good....now where's my axe!

I just hope you mean guitar, Soren! It sounds like you mean to chop the precious album to pieces in some inexplicable record-destroying fit! Come to your senses, man! ;)

I reserve such action for 'How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb'

the guitar is my friend.

Hi everyone this is my first post =) jeje I loooove pixies they´re fantastic, the best thing that ever happened to me, I´ve been listening to them since I was 8 =)
I think that maybe this mysterious thing that drives me to listening to them over and over and over again is the mixture between the simplicity of the melodies and the rare and complex profundity in the lyrics..
