| I've never really understood the whole "its so bad its good" thing!!! But I am with you on neighbours watching! I've been off work for a few months due to having an operation so neighbours has become...i dunno some sort of solace. I need to get out more. |

Good points of course. Before one eats, or mates, one first must guard against being eaten. I did think about the "why just mammals" but decided to keep it simpler and closer to home. I agree that reptiles, insects, etc. must be as inclined to behave so as to emphasize the negative, assuming that my broader point is sound. I omitted the non-mammalian mostly because they seem to be more directly hardwired than are mammals, and therefore might be seen as less capable of judgement, for lack of a more precise term.
It's also true that I was being quick and dirty with my point. |

Hate whatever the big chunk of black stuff was that came shooting out of my clogged up faucet when I unscrewed the nozzle. Shot down my drain before I could see what it was. Hope it was just a big black rock. Hell, I guess I'm lucky to have decent, reliable water service. I'll stick to drinking the bottled variety.

I hate automatically bursting into tears when my little daughter accidentally elbows me in the nose so hard that it starts gushing blood, and there's mommy sobbing with her face full of blood and of course the poor child herself starts crying and saying "mommy, I'm sorry, maybe a hug will make you feel better" and so she hugs me and now she's got blood on her tutu and we're both crying and my nose is throbbing and spurting blood. Shit.
