Pixies Add Another UK Date
As their London date sells out, the Pixies have announced yet another post-Reading UK date in the capital at Alexandra Palace as part of their forthcoming European tour.
The band, who have already sold out London Alexandra Palace on August 31, will now play the same venue the following night on September 1. Tickets are on sale now from the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or by clicking here.
Pixies have also recently announced that they値l be returning to the studio for the first time since the brief sessions that resulted in 2004痴 download-only single 腺am Thwok.
During press interviews for his imminent solo record 践oneycomb, frontman Frank Black confirmed to contactmusic that, while the band have experienced personal tensions in the past, "it's all hugs and kisses" after last year's initial reunion tour,
"We have been discussing a new album lately, he explained. 鄭s happy as we are with the success of the reunion tour, we really want to make a record for the right reasons, whether it is successful commercially or not."
Of the new material he says, "We would be satisfied if it played like our other records. Never chart-topping but always in print".
Pixies' full European shows are:
Paredes De Coura Festival (August 17) Hasselt Pukkelpop (19) Biddinghuizen Lowlands Festival (20) Erfurt Highfield Stadium (21) Dublin Lansdowne Road Stadium (23) Paris Rock En Seine (25) The Carling Weekender: Reading Festival (26) The Carling Weekender: Leeds Festival (27) Edinburgh Meadowbank Stadium (28) Manchester Apollo (30) SOLD OUT London Alexandra Palace (31) SOLD OUT London Alexandra Palace (September 1) |
