Anyone of you ever had an actual dream about the Pixies?
I had one recently. A pretty lame one, but nevertheless. In my dream, I was going to an open air festival. At first, I was still outside of the festival area, and no music was heard yet. Then Alec Eiffel started, and I was getting all exited, like "Oh my god, the Pixies already started and I'm still 300 yards away". So I finally got in, walked my way through the crowd until I was right in front of the stage (somewhere row 5 or 6), which went pretty easily (hey, it was a dream you know). On stage, there where five people (pixies + EDF?) in a straight line next to each other. They weren't holding any instruments, they were only singing... to an instrumental tape or just a capella, I don't remember, but it sounded heavenly. Anyway, it was clear that this was only the introduction, and they would really kick in (with instruments and all) from the second song on. But before that second song could start, I woke up... sob.
As a very cheap explanation of this dream, I should perheps mention that I will actually see the Pixies this summer for the very first time, and I'm obviously looking forward to it a lot, after I missed my chance to see them last year (I did have a ticket but sadly sold it because David Bowie, who headlined the festival, cancelled, and I didn't feel like spending 60 euros for seeing just the Pixies in a 70.000+ crowd). |
