Now suddenly people's accounts get locked and others are thinking about leaving. I don't know Dave and I'm sure he's done his important part in this forum but come on! I reserve judgement until I see reasons but they had better be good considering some of the personal attacks that have gone on on this forum only for the moderators to do nothing or next to nothing (I'm not saying that was wrong or right, I am just saying that it happended and therefore there had better be something more to these guys getting banned than personal attacks).
Whats good for the goose should be good for the gander. Or should I say, what's not good for the gander should not be good for the goose.
Personally I think we should all kiss and make up in the hot-tub.

Dave said he would lock anyone who posted further 'pictures' like the ones in beautiful women, they guys that got locked did. I guess once he'd started on that line he couldn't back down, but it is all so silly. Locking peoples accounts is just going to get things more fired up than anything.

I'm neither condemning nor condoning the banning but I believe the reason they were banned is because Dave said that if they did not delete the pictures they posted he would lock their accounts and they didn't delete them so he locked their accounts. Once again, I'm neither condemning nor condoning it, just stating why.

Yet when personal attacks were made on people here over the years (quite bad, persistant ones at times), nothing was done? Hmmm.
I don't think I need to offer an opinion on whether he was right or wrong to ban them, I simply ask why ignoring his request is so much more serious than personal attacking (particularly when it caused distress to those involved)?
I'm just trying to help build a picture for people who seem to be confused (including me) about the rules and how they are enforced. We can only hope to stay within the rules if we know where the borders are set.
By the way, unrelated, where is Brian?

I apologize if there have been personal attacks that weren't deal with in an effective manner. I believe that when i was more active on here, i was pretty firm in this area. I would assume the same with Dean and Brian, and perhaps you're thinking of another forum?

Dean says he prefers to not to band people unless things get really out of control. That's fair enough, but it seems a little inconsistent with what has gone on here.
