"I'm easy" means "hell yes" where I'm from.
Is this when I have to/should mention my martial status again? |

i'm not particularly bothered about the thread being deleted. i don't think i posted more than 5 times in it, although i did take a couple of extended viewing sessions... but yeah, whatever.
i just can't believe how outrageous dave was to delete the whole thread. i'm amazed. it just seems like dave's living in his own world. he's has barely contributed to the site for months (too busy cycling?) and then when he does decide to do something it's to delete a thread. fair enough... it just doesn't seem like he took any time to think about what he was doing.
Oh let it linger |

It’s time for a massive archive. I agree with that.
I don't agree though with Dave's decision. It's plain stupid. But people sometimes make mistakes with the best intentions.

I remember when I first got my computer back in 1999. Eagerly, the first thing I looked up on the internet was Frank Black. There were basically no results from my search. All I found on the internet were a few Yahoo Clubs, all of which I joined. The biggest one was barely One-Hundred people. There are a few people from there that still post, others are members who seldom post. My name back then was Big Black Francis.
Back then general chat was of least importance or irrelevant. The only subjects people wanted to talk about was Frank Black and his tours and set lists and reviews. I remember feeling so excited when there was talk on Yahoo about starting a fan website: frank black dot net, because this shit didn't fucking exist.
And so it went from people starving for talk about frank to being well fed. Naturally the general chat grew. It was fun and and harmless. And then the site began to grow and grow and it is now where it is today. I think it has become what it was intened to become. As far as general chat goes, I advocate it, I love it.
But…
I think sometimes we dont appreciate or have gratitude for the fact this site exists. The moderators on this forum are the best and most attentive moderators on any website I have ever participated. I’ve met a lot of great people here, obtained a great deal of insight and shared a lot of laughs. That’s the reason I am a member and part of the common community we share.
Fuck the beautiful women thread. Who really fuckin cares. It’s time for a massive archive anyway. Dave, Dean and Brian (and Jim) and the other guys behind the scenes are providing a free and delicious service to all of us. Sometimes you just got to roll with it.

=) that's a great idea. I meant Silk, that's what I use too, Vanilla flavour. But they just came out with Very Vanilla and it's very good, approaching divine. I even like it straight.

I'm tempted to post a picture of some guy's buttcrack, but I'll restrain myself.
And I don't know what "recent forum developments" this thread is actually talking about. Oh, well. I'm sure it's not important.

Again, I think Dave should have mentioned the kiddie porn that a now-banned forum member was advocating -- as well as the nude photos that a newbie posted during her first week here (more explicit than anything the guys had ever posted).
There were never any demands in the Pix of Beaut Men thread for photos of 12-year-old boys. That thread's mostly me going on about how sexy I find Bob Mould. And some misguided female forum women who find the Deppster attractive. May they remain nameless.

So WHO was the "now-banned forum member" "advocating kiddie porn"? What is Jason? If so, why is anyone giving credence to the blatherings of a troll?
All this hypersensitivity is making this forum a real bummer of a place to be. I won't be around much longer at this rate. |

If I averaged 15 or 20 posts per day I'd probably take offense to that, troll. But most of my time on this board is at the expense of my employer so it's cool.
The only thing worse than a troll are the people who get their feathers ruffled like the troll meant what they said. In that sense you don't seem so bad anymore, troll. Since the people on this board are now letting you call the shots I say more power to you. |
