I get groups of 20 or 30 of them in my orange tree, constantly pipping back and forth and climbing upside down.

I'm a good weight now and I've also been really thin. The main difference is that
when you are super-skinny, attention from men drops (they do prefer curves and asses and breasts) while a different kind of attention increases from women. Because women are conditioned to measure themselves based on body/weight, many of them get weirded out around a skinny woman, like it's a competition they've lost by not being the only size 4 in the room.

That said, I suspect that what most men consider pleasingly un-skeletal is still quite skinnier than what the average woman really is. Most women are bigger than Marilyn Monroe's size 10 - and sizes vary from store to store. For example, a 6 at Old Navy is a 10 at Banana Republic.

I still maintain that what guys term "chunky" is skinnier than
most women are.

I assume, based on experience, that men are far more interested
in woman's IQ than in her bra size.

Toba should mosey over to the Take Everything Literally thread and explain
himself.

I decided to add this here:

I see no need for guys to make a show of appreciating women for their smarts
because I have had a couple of relationships with guys who I didn't think were necessarily
mental geniuses. I wouldn't want to be with a complete moron, but lack of
major smarts in a guy has never stopped me from being with someone I was otherwise
attracted to. Maybe that's shallow, but it's true and I would have missed out on
some big fun if I had what some might term "high standards".

back on task, f.

don't get me wrong and don't misunderstand...i dig attractive women. eye candy, in my 'sperience though, is often just that...candy. sweet but not much there. i prefer attractive AND brainy. IQ minimums apply...

And I should have just said in my last post, "I like 'em big and dumb."
Would have been quicker and as accurate.

could you do "westsiiiiiide" or "wassup" with only three fingers, ala simpsons or futurama? say, you'd had an industrial accident and lost a digit. (and I'm not alluding to the unfortunate wendy's episode....)

could one still represent?

The Westside Locos, back when I lived in the Westside, threw the sign with their
right hand, with the thumb over the index finger. Some of them represented
all the way to San Quentin.

i'm glad you weren't alluding to the Wendy's episode. but if you were going to, i'm glad you would do it here and not in the Take Everything Literally Thread.

making subtle allusions is frowned upon there

thanks floop...there seems to be no genteel way of announcing that publicly...but nice try!

y'know, i was thinking further abt. the healthy look...the majority of women I find attractive look, well, healthy. not skinny. not big. just healthy.
like Nigella Lawson. like monica bellucci. like sophia loren. like that...

and they're all smart...at least, they seem to be very smart...i've not talked to any of those three...

i didn't mean to only include well-endowed examples in my prev. post...sry.

Natalie Portman is extremely cute, but isn't she pretty skinny? But, yes very intelligent. Sorry to keep busting on your examples.

skinny, I don't think so...she looks pretty fit to me.

it's ok to question the examples...it's the only way to really make me determine why I think they're attractive...

being in shape doesn't make natalie portman any less skinny. she's tiny. nigella lawson is the only one of your examples i wouldn't consider 'thinner than average.'

That's because she's got boobs, which she's forever showing
as she cooks and then tastes dishes.
