Beards are generally pretty masculine, aren't they?
Um, the kind of beard made of hair that grows on your face, that is. Not the other kind.
I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied. |

"The arc of triumph"
Somebody on another forum suggested it should be a minutes applause, which I reckon is a great idea. But yeah, hope there's no idiots.

I read that aswell and I think it's a good idea too.
BTW, did you read that on the BBC sport message board by any chance?

No, it was a Celtic forum. Maybe someone crossposting.

RIP Pot Sweets
I don't know if anyone else can remember them, but they were the dessert style of pot noodles. Same style, fill with hot water to the line but instead of stinky golden wonder noodles, you got lovely yummy sweetness goodness. I remember back when i was 5 or 6, waiting for my pot sweet to cool down as it was too hot for me. I remember the smell of rhubarb/apple goodness wafting down and the anticipation of eating it. I remember it was great. But alas, they stopped making them...I dont even know when but I miss them, that smell is there with me forever, i was sitting on the couch with my family watching tv at 8pm and i was allowed to stay up and it was the best of times...i can only remember the smell for a second or 2 these days. How i wish i could smell and taste that again! |

How about a minute's silence followed by a minutes applause?
Oh yeah, I don't follow rally racing, but British 2001 FIA World Rally Champion Richard Burns died of a brain tumour last night, aged 34. RIP.

I didn't think this thread was supposed to be for actual obituaries.
