Rabid anti-abortion activist Neal Horsley...
"Last night, anti-abortion extremist Neal Horsley was a guest on The Alan Colmes Show, a FOX News radio program. The topic was an interesting one - whether or not an internet service provider should allow Horsley to post the names of abortion doctors on his website. Horsley does that as a way of targeting them and one doctor has been killed. In the course of the interview, however, Colmes asked Horsley about his background, including a statement that he had admitted to engaging in homosexual and bestiality sex."

AC: "You had sex with animals?"
NH: "Absolutely. I was a fool. When you grow up on a farm in Georgia, your first girlfriend is a mule."
(!)
ha! In fact!
You experiment with anything that moves when you are growing up sexually. You're naive. You know better than that... If it's warm and it's damp and it vibrates you might in fact have sex with it
It's a good job that there mule can't have man babies huh

My mother is a psychiatrist, and she told me that zoophilia is not just a "perversion" but a very deep mental illness.
But I think that publishing a list of abortion doctors is a much deeper illness.
The fact that this guy is sick is not unusual - but the fact that he expresses himself publicly and that some people follow his opinions clearly makes me afraid of Americans.

publishing a list of names of people who do something one is against is not sicker than beastiality. come on.
of course, the list is harmful to those on it, so one may ask if it is doing more harm than "good." certainly fucking a mule is sicker than writing down a list of names.

i'm not saying the list is a good thing, but the people who are fucked up enough to murder these doctors would undoubtedly be doing it either way. if they don't find this information from this list, they'll find it out elsewhere..

It's not because they own guns that they will shoot someone. It's not because there is a list of doctors that they kill those doctors. It's not because a sick guy told them to do so that they did it.

obviously, if you give a gun to a sick person, tell him the doctors are evil baby killers, give him their addresses, you can expect something horrible to happen.

no.
there is a difference between violent films and real life. giving a list with doctors' names is not virtual.
if a psycho kills a doctor, hthe above quoted guy is partly responsible for what happens.

if you read my first sentence, i said i didn't think it was a good thing that this list is out there. what i'm trying to say is that i don't think the blame, or the problem, lies entirely in this list.. it's a much larger-scale problem. |

what if they find doctors addresses on an internet doctor directory. should that internet site be partially responsible? |

no, responsibility comes from the purpose.
publishing a list of doctors that you can call if you are sick is quite different.

I think this debate about publishing lists is a grey area, of course in a vacuum this guy can't be considered responsible for every creep that uses it for ill, but then again, he is a highly public and highly respected figure in the far-right anti-abortion faction, so he has to be careful about what his actions might be saying. This is somewhat like the recent statements made by the right in regard to "activist" judges (some of whom were Republican and/or Reagan/Bush appointees) that they could understand why some people would be compelled to do vioent acts against them when they make decisions that they don't agree with. I think there is an implied statement that gains much more power in the public's mind because it is being said by a highly public *representative* of the government. It's tantamount to a wink-wink nudge-nudge, if nothing else.
Public political discourse when respected figures are involved kinda throw the vacuum state out the window.
I am too tired to imagine the physics involved in that last metaphor.
edit: oh, and the mules! why can't they stick to pumpkin patches fer crissakes.

He's publishing it with the sole purpose of riling anti abortionists to action though, in mild cases the doctors will get abusive calls and letters and the like but this guy and people like him know that doctors are attacked and killed sometimes. Making a list like that in association with something that gets tempers so high is, in my mind, encouraging it. It's making it easy for people who would do such acts, If these lists weren't published I don't think your average nut-job would take the time and effort to hunt down the numbers and addresses. Your intense nut job, maybe.
Maybe he can't be held responsible, but I think he should be to be honest with you.
And I do think making it more accessible to rain down abuse on a bunch of people is sicker than fucking a mule, I think encouraging this sort of violence is pretty damned sick. Although, the mule thing thats weird, remember the guy who married his pony?

well if it isn't wet you shouldn't be doing it, if it's cold it's dead, if it vibrates though, thats weird, I suppose at least he didn't say hum.

Another reason why I would love to move to Canada. A guy from my state shot and killed a doctor who performed abortions (the very term "abortion doctor" is rife with slanted meaning) and he hid out in France and was extradited back to the States and I forget what sentence he received. He stood in the woods behind the man's house and shot him dead as he was heating himself soup for dinner.
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Catholics |

these extremists make no sense. taking it upon themselves to divvy out punishments they see fit? if killing a baby is bad, why not killing a father, brother, husband, or son?
fucking terrorists. jesus wouldn't kill some doctor.

I'm amazed of your surprise, dudes.
Having sex with a mule doesn't make you a zoophilic, as having sex with someone of your same sex doesn't make you a homosexual.
There was a funny story here about a man who wanted to marry his cow. Sometimes is easier to love an animal rather than a person...
