Sposed to be 83 biker-jacket-wearing, mohawk-having, bad-motherfucker degrees today.
So, needless to say, if you were waiting around with five bucks in your hand waiting to buy my upcoming brochure Understanding Poop, you can put that five bucks away, 'cause it ain't happenin.

Floop, is that you wearing just shorts? I hope you've got plenty of sunscreen on. I worry about you and the weather you have.
A balmy day here, almost tropical, I wore a very short mini dress what with the high being a very toasty 35 F; it looks exactly like this:

It's sunny and seventy-five, it feels so good to be alive.
Well, not quite. Actually, today was great. 60 degrees F and sunny.

It was in the high fifties this evening. It was probably even warmer in the daytime, but I didn't go outside at all at that time of day.

Well, yesterday we had a blizzard of sorts. 35-50 mph winds and giant snowflakes that reminded me of lake effect snows in Chicago. 3 inches or so of soggy snow. Cold as hell.
Today it might be 51 degrees fahrenheit. And there's this seemingly beneficent glowing orb and a soothing color in the sky today.
I still hate daylight saving time. I guess even Ben Franklin had to do at least *one* stupid thing in his great life. ;) |

actually, Franklin suggested it as a sort of joke - he never expected anyone to take him seriously.

What, you don't like totally arbitrary temperature scales?
I'm so used to Fahrenheit that I couldn't imagine ever using anything else, but, as far as I've been able to determine, the choice of 32 as the freezing point was made for no real reason. It was just significantly higher than the freezing point of salt water (which is 0), or something like that. At least Celsius is based on something tangible.
It's a lot colder today than it was yesterday, but it's no longer raining.

Nice. "Good Pranks Gone Bad: the Ben Franklin Edition"

can someone tell me what the purpose behind farenheit as a temperature measure is? what is it related too? cause i have no idea - apart from knwoing that converting it to centigrade is rasther tricky.

Not to sound snotty, Homers, but my house looks even cooler than that (no pun intended).
Dayanara, that picture doesn't affect me the way it used to. No, m'am. I don't want to kill myself, nope, not at all.

it's a shame you can't see the 75 trillion sharks that are waiting just offshore in that picture. the beaches have been closed to swimming for weeks here.
