I wouldn't say the forum is a boys' club, because there's nothing PREVENTING females from joining and posting. They just don't, for the most part.

My wife went more than a year after each kid before she menstruated again. She was kind of happy about that since breast cancer runs in her family and fewer cycles might lead to a lower probability of cancer. |

That's yet another important benefit of nursing. I know there is a theory (or perhaps a proven link) between nursing and possible lowering of breast cancer risk.
(A year? Wow! Try two months -- which is exhausting with a newborn.)
