Lake Tahoe is so not even remotely the best

They are "SOME of the best ski resorts" as I so arrogantly stated before.
However, the best ski resort in the US, I will so arrogantly state, is Jackson Hole. Even there skiing is too much a hassle. |

their gear, buying a lift ticket, standing in the lift
lines, etc., need to learn the expression

We both have an arrogant opinion then (I'm practising being French).
Before I had a car, I would have agreed with you, but it's just so much better with one. Public transport's all very well, and I use it to get to work, but local journeys are a million times quicker with a car.
To be fair, I was irresponsible, selfish and dumb anyway...
