OK, mine are finally ready to post. Sorry about the delay, I'll do it tomorrow. Kind of makeshift packaging as well... My printer's not up to much, so I haven't included any artwork or tracklisting or anything. If you email me once you receive the CD, I'll send you an inlay.

I've been reliably informed that Cheeseman's is waiting for me on my desk - very keen to have a listen.
Has mine still not reached the US yet?

Finally! Yay!
Been listening to Cheeseman's - it has been simply gorgeous. All floaty dreamy, a total opposite to mine. I cannot wait to hear the others.

OK - in English for everyone else. Please email me once you get the CD so that I have your email address: I have the inlay as an attachment (this is better really as my printer is awful). You can't send attachments if you email through the forum, so I need to know your email address. I'll send soon as.

Looks like Cheeseman's mix is mainly instrumental too. Mine won't have many vocals either. Weird.

Right - my mix has been received by everyone now (if not look away now)
Tracklisting is:
1. 19 - Karma to Burn 2. Freedom - Nebula 3. Shine it on - Fu Manchu 4. Demon Cleaner - Kyuss 5. If Only - Queens of the Stone Age 6. Heavy - the Workhorse Movement 7. I need Somebody - Nebula 8. Trapeze Freak - Fu Manchu 9. Doraldinas Prophecies - Masters of Reality 10. Subcutaneous Phat - Desert Sessions 11. Thinking Out Loud - Fu Manchu 12. The Soapmakers - Clutch 13. 38 - Karma to Burn 14. I was a Teenage Hand Model - Queens of the Stone Age 15. Under the Surface - Neurosis
So, what did you love? What did you hate? Feels like ages ago since I put this together - some stuff I'd do totally differently now (I'm my own worst critic).
Oh - and I was dying to stick Cactus on it, but figured you'd all kill me for cheating, but it is a damn fine example of stoner rock in my humble opinion.
I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

Groovy, I get the first comment on Nicole's CD. I liked it. I went through a stoner phase a little while ago (the music, just the music...) so I know most of these bands. Some excellent examples of the genre here, its my humble opinion that you can never have too much Fu Manchu, and with Nebula you get double bonus value. I also liked the Kyuss tune, the Karma To Burn ones (I'd never really listened to them before, so it was good. i kept expecting the vocals to come in though, I had to keep reminding myself, no singer, no singer...), and also the Workhorse Movement, who i'd not really given the time of day to before. Excellent closer as well.

I have to listen to your mix more attentively before I comment on it, Nicole. But on a first listen I liked it. I had never listened to any of the bands (except the best known songs from QOTSA) and actually had no idea of what stoner rock was, but I was pleasantly surprised. I'll try to make a song-by-song review by tomorrow.
How come we're only 5 people talking about the mixes? Aren't we supposed to be 10?

Well, Nicole, you're a rockin'women and I like that, you're mix is very good for me, because it's not the kind of music that I usually listen, and I didn't knew most of the bands, I think the only I knew was Fumanchu and The Queens of The Stone Age. So you made me, again, listen to some new bands. The best for me are Nebula and Kyuss, the Freedom song is just too good. But I liked all of them and I got to know what Stoner rock is. Thank you Nicole!
I must say also that you've made a beautiful art work.

nicole, i'm loving your mix! i'll just repeat what everyone else has already written and say that i wasn't familiar with any of the bands but qotsa, or stoner rock in general. i'm gonna have to check out some more fu manchu and kyuss after this.
