another option for people who are having a hard time thinking of things would be maybe a covers disc, or a disc of all bands from your hometown, or anything really. come one people, fill those spots!

| How about a "Guilty Pleasures" album? Because who doesn't rock out to Mo' Money Mo' Problems when it comes on? Or, an all ladies album. Lilith Fair style, except less crappy. Or, all folk/dudes with acoustic guitars. You could just make it whole record of Conor Oberst and be done with it. Or, half Bright Eyes, half death metal. The two sides of life. |

I have only ever seen about two tens, and one of them was utter rubbish that only that particular writer liked. Seemd to rememeber it caused a few miffed readers to write in and complain.

ok, while we wait for our 10th, i'll start getting an order set. since mel, nic and i are all doing the soon to be announced int'l mix 3, i'm going to put us into late feb/march at the earliest to send out. i know both rita and obfuscate by will have bowed out of the int'l mix, so would they mind going early in the process? here is my ramdom list with consideration for those doing the int'l mix so far:
1 - Rita - February 7 mail-out date
2 - Obfuscate By Will - February 21 mail-out date
3 - Broken Face - March 7 mail-out date
4 - Gypsy Death - March 21 mail-out date
5 - KimStanleyRobinson - April 4 mail-out date
6 - Vilainde - April 18 mail-out date
7 - Remig - May 2 mail-out date
8 - Mystery Person - May 16 mail-out date
9 - Cheeseman1000 - May 30 mail-out date
10 - Surfer Rosa - June 13 mail-out date
I'm fine with waiting 2 weeks per disc, but this list makes me see how truly long this will take. So, i'm cool w/ one week too. So that is the new question - 2 weeks or 1 week?

OK, I think you did your North American one slightly different to ours - we sent out all the CD's at once (ahem, in theory). With this, the idea is everybody should receive and listen to the mix before, or just after the next is posted? That seems pretty sensible if I've got it right.
I definitely don't mind going earlier if someone else wants to move back. I get all enthusiastic about this sort of thing.

the way this works is that on the date that says "mail out date" you will send your mix to us. this way, the mixes come in every week or so, so you don't have 5 cds arriving in one day. this spreads out the joy a little more.
remig, you can do whichever mix, just let me know for the official listing
ok cheese, i'll switch you w/ rita - and since the only vote is for one week, it'll go weekly. which means...
Feb. 7 - Cheeseman
Feb. 14 - Surfer
Feb. 21 - Broken
Feb. 28 - Gypsy
Mar. 7 - KSR
Mar. 14 - Vilainde
