Listen to the newbie, Homers, and post like mad in the Beautiful Men thread!

There are some some treats in store for Floopie to mark this milestone.

Oooh, I can smell the curry Rita's made!

You can't start the party before he makes his legendary
6,000th post!

Rita, make him put down that bowl of curry and take
that drink out of his hand!

You guys realize that starting this topic will make him wait 4 days before posting again, right? He's a butthead like that. Remember the "sometime in the next few hours..." 5000th post thread?

There is no secret plan. Floop's passed out in a corner.
He partied before he posted. Never party before you post.

Though, come to think of it, Dayanara does know him best,
having been married to him and all....

No ,it's just for that photo to work, you would have to be pictured in a wedding dress. I assume if you have a picture of you in a wedding dress, then you probably have been married at some point.

this is getting embarassing.

Dean, is there any way you can reduce my post count? by, say.. a few thousand?

what's odd though is that my daily average is a mere 6.8 posts a day.

you may think i post a lot, but i'm hardly here.

yeah, that's it

Will someone turn down the stereo? I know that "Debaser"
needs to be played good and loud but I have a special song
I'd like to dedicate to floop on this momentous occasion.

It must have been cold there in my shadow,
to never have sunlight on your face.
You were content to let me shine, that's your way.
You always walked a step behind.

So I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strength.
A beautiful face without a name for so long.
A beautiful smile to hide the pain.

Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

It might have appeared to go unnoticed,
but I've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it.
I would be nothing without you.

Did you ever know that you're my hero?
You're everything I wish I could be.
I could fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Did I ever tell you you're my hero?
You're everything, everything I wish I could be.
Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

Oh, the wind beneath my wings.
You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly away. You let me fly so high.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.

Fly, fly, fly high against the sky,
so high I almost touch the sky.
Thank you, thank you,
thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.

I still believe in the excellent joy of the Frank

that song is kind of ambiguous .. it sort of starts out as an insult: "it must have been cold there in my shadow," "you always walked a step behind" and then progresses into a affectionate love song.

but then, does it?

the narrator of the song only cares about the person because they can make him or her fly higher .. "thank god for you the wind beneath my wings"..

it's basically saying, "i'm so great, because i've been able to feed off of your energy and suck away your life force"

is this what you're saying to me Kathryn?

i do like the song though.. usually when i'm really drunk, at some point in the night, i'll sing it to my beer can (or bottle) only change the words to

"did you ever know that you're my beer-o?"

Aaah Phoenix Nights (which I like better than the office) has a very funny moment with that song. The main charecter is supposed to be paralysed from the waist down, he goes on a series of dates with this curly permed be-spectacled lady and they show a little montage of the dates, near the end of the montage he's singing Karaoke to her...

.... and you are the wind beneath my wheels....

laugh, I wept...
