I got me so down, I got me a headache.

A headache is not the worst thing in the world. Some days are much worse than today, but the headache I have right now is very painful. Maybe Rita's "The highlight of your day" thread
is more uplifting than this thread. Let's see where this goes, if
anywhere.

Finding out that I have scored no points so far this week in the 'Football Prediction League' at my ex-work. I am currently second out of 100 so it DOES matter (there is money involved).

You may be drinking too much coffee.
That is a typical withdrawal symptom. Drink some coffe and see if it goes away. But try to cut back. Up your water intake as well.

the worst part of my day. thats easy

b/c of the massive noreaster, i retreated from my apt to my parents house for 2 reasons : a - to help them shovel and b - to see m'lady (she lives much closer to my parents). however, the snow is so bad that we couldn't not brave the weather and see each other, which is really sad because that was the main reason i came home. hopefully tomorrow...

discovering that the high today was only going to be 75/76 degrees, as opposed to yesterdays 81.

Coffee headaches are just your body telling you to hurry with the coffee. Don't fight it; embrace it.

Here down in the valley it's in the low 40s, while up in the mountains it's in the 70s. Damn fog.

At the moment the worst part of my day is when my daughter wakes up in the middle of the night because she's coughing -it's even worse when she's thrown up all over the bed :( - and then, when I've got her some water or whatever, she wants to have a conversation about the relative size of our sleeves :D

As for the coffee thing, I gave up caffeine about 6 months ago, and had the most god-awful headaches for about 6 weeks. Had to slowly wean myself off the Nescafé teat. Now it's fine though.

I think I got the measure of this problem, you weren't drinking coffee, you were drinking Nescafé and the headaches were coffee-gods way of punishing you for drinking the coffee "flavoured" gravy.

The low point of my day was thinking about having to quit coffee, it made me scared.

Brain sorry to hear that the snow is keeping you and your lady apart tonight. Hopefully you will see her soon if you haven't allready. That same storm stranded my brother.

Kathryn hope your headache is better. I have only one soda a day now-- down from lots of coffee and sodas, for me I now have way more energy but it's a hard road to get there-- but it's worth it when you do.

Floop, I felt so sorry for you that it wasn't 81 degrees that I was going to send you a personal email instead. This being that I am in Minnesota and last week it was down to 20 below (not including the windchill). I thought it would be more appropriate for such a huge downer, you know.

Floop, may the weather be warmer! Here's to fun in the sun man!!

Getting a sore back from shoveling snow was one of the worst parts. And I have to do it again later tonight.

What is the matter with you people? I don't drink coffee. Not a drop.

However, I do thank you for your (unrelated) advice. Here is how my
headache finally went away:

I drove through a near-blinding snowstorm and over snowdrifts
half as tall as my car. I walked in minus 20-degree F temperatures
from the only shovelled parking lot a quarter of a mile to the pool
building and I swam, which made the headache go away.

This was both the worst and best part of my day.

Then, I drank wine and, for dinner, at a piece of chocolate
cake. Then I danced for two hours.

Wine. I drink wine. Coffee? Who needs it? Who needs the 80-degree
weather anyway? It's wimpy.

Yeah I don't care for coffee much either. It's OK, but it's no strawberry milkshake.

The worst part of my day today was still not being able to find my favourite hat.

Rita creates beautiful home accents, Homers. I say this

Doing the sums and figuring out the day of worst period pain will be tomorrow, the day of my exam.

Trying to figure out if sitting through the exam in an extraordinarily large amount of pain or sitting through the exam relatively pain free but doped up to the eyeballs is going to be best for concentration.

I swear if anyone during afore mentioned exam dare open their fucking mouths I am going to make them eat their exam paper, I'm going to roll it up into a tube and force it down their throats. Consequence be damned.

Unless you are doped up to the eyeballs, in which case you probably won't even turn up, let alone care if anyone is talking. I must say that neither option sounds too great. I don't envy you.

I second this. I especially hate waking up when I've slept too much in the winter time.
