THE BLACK SESSIONS
LIVE IN PARIS
plus THE KITCHEN TAPES

I have this baby pressed on pitch black vinyl. Should I consider myself lucky?

Side 1:

Two Spaces
Abstract Plain
Headache
Old Black Dawning
Superabound
Calistan

Side 2:

The Vanishing Spies
Sir Rockaby
Big Red
The Jacques Tati
Oddball
Men In Black

Side 3:

Czar
Freedom Rock
Whatever Happened To Pong?
White Noise Maker
Los Angeles

Side 4:

Handyman
Modern Age (Acoustic)
Jumping Beans (Acoustic)
Abstract Plain (Acoustic, FBF style, hidden)

I mean, is it rare or does everybody own one?

I think it's mildly rare. $25-30 on ebay.

If you're interested in rarity though, definitely hold on to it and try to keep it in good shape. A Frank Black will only gain fans as the years go on and the old outta print stuff (particularly the vinyl because it's much less common and less likely to be reissued) will go up and up in value.

I have this as well, I've seen it on cd also. I'd never heard of it when I bought it but when I saw it on cd later on, I would have prefered to buy it on that format first, but it's nice to have abit of Frank vinyl. The live version of Handy Man rocks so hard.
