I haven´t bought any records that came out this year, except the Cure´s new one off a blanket in the street from an African guy. As for films, did Lost In Translation come out this year? If not, then Secretary. Lot of mention of Bubblegum here. Has anyone heard Screaming Trees´ Dust? tis their masterpiece.
P.S. A Sunday Prayer
To whom it may concern, Please let Cheeseman be taking the piss about liking the jaded not-even-ironically-likeable subpub-band glam of the Scissor Sisters. I know he means well. Owen

Have you listened to the record or seen them performing live Owen? I stand by that as much as the 'Tash Bed.

Best moment of the year:
2. Ashlee simpson screwing up her miming 1. Robert Smith joing placebo for without you im nothing + boys dont cry (ok, personal reason, obv, but hell, it was brilliant)
Now I do as I please and lie through my teeth. Someone might get hurt but it won't be me. I should probably feel cheap but I just feel free and a little bit empty. No it isn't so hard to get close to me. There will be no arguments. We will always agree. And I will try and be kind when I ask you to leave. We will both take it easy. But if you stay too long inside my memory, I will trap you in a song tied to a melody and I will keep you there so you can't bother me. |

Scuse me Cheeseman I just have strong feelings about it cause on the SE coast I lived with a guy from Leicester who had one of those onetrack brains where they´ve got to hear the same song 50 times a day, Laura it was I believe. Perhaps it made me look unkindly on the rest of the record.

My album list was something like:
10. Fastbacks - Truth, Corrosion and Sour Bisquits 9. Nora O'Connor - Til the Dawn 8. Franz Ferdinand - self-titled 7. Meat Purveyors - Pain by Numbers 6. Neko Case - The Tigers Have Spoken 5. Minus 5 - In Rock 4. Magnetic Fields - i 3. Carolyn Mark and the New Best Friends - The Pros and Cons of Collaboration 2. Camper Van Beethoven - New Roman Times 1. They Might Be Giants - The Spine
I usually don't buy very many new albums in any given year, though. Other than those ten, the only "new" albums I can recall hearing were Frank Black Francis, the two newest Fuzzy Warbles CDs, and two compilations (Move On's Future Soundtrack for America, and the Young Fresh Fellows tribute album).
