Huh? I had to check to be sure I didn't have it wrong but yeah, here it is. You need to go outside and take a walk into the woods right now and let me know what you see. Hurry, hurry!

I wish I could but I´m in a small country called Portugal...only my mind is in Madagascar...but someday I will go there and I´ll have a look at the chameleons! Or I can go to the south "Algarve" and maybe there I can find some.
How does it feels to live in Iraq?

That explains it. I thought you were from Portugal. I was supposed to go to the Azores with my friend (who was going on a soccer trip) last August but cancelled so my brother and nephew could come out here and vist. Have some linguica for me then.

I miss that fucking hat almost as badly as I miss my soul.
I wore it for five years straight at least. I've done *everything* in that hat. Found it in an old house - it was classic - tight herringbone, old, fit perfectly...I just wore it out and then I lost it.

I thought that also, I didn't know if he'd know who Fran Healy is though...
I like Clarks picture, it isn't some scenic shot with a very vague shadow of what might be a bloke in it for a start
*cough*

Holy shit, you're right.
OK, maybe not...
Here's the Bukowski sig, tre...from Ham On Rye...

Cheesoid - I am, I said it looked purdy didn't I sheesh *rolls eyes* Yeah figured that was you, nice pins () (and I wasn't being impolite by the way, my computer keeps kicking me) *kicks computer*
KSR - haha you know the Travis then, you do look a lot like him in that second picture. Nice sig, not overly offensive. I bought and re-read Ham on Rye a couple of weeks ago I seem to be on a buk buying mission at the moment (seeing as I can't rape the exes collection anymore, figured I may as well shell out) I forgot how much I liked reading the nasty

Yes. I am new to the man. Nasty, vile person really - especially as a child...but the poetry..."Burning in Water Drowning in Flame". Some if this is very good. I got about 5-10 pages into Post Office and haven't been able to go back yet. Maybe tonight I'll try again.

I've only got as far as buying 'Post Office', 'Factotum', 'Ham on Rye', and 'Pulp' so far, the novel being cheaper than the poetry and I being a student and a reluctant spender. I enjoyed muchly 'what matters most is how well you walk through the fire' and all of 'love is a dog from hell' is online on some education site so I printed that off for now...
He makes me screw my nose up when I'm reading it sometimes, so fucking brutal but honest too. Simple words complex emotions, he's a weird one. I like that. And it has to be noted, the man loved the stink of his own shit. Dirty old fucker.

Intersting. A thread about 'beautiful men' and you end up talking about this fuggin guy.

Yeah, let's go back to the "Black Francis - Teen Dream" thing, cause you guys are on the verge of freaking me out. I mean, look at this guy...
Sex on a stick, people. Sex on a stick.
Does anyone else find David Letterman oddly sexy? There used to be an entire website out there dedicated to his, uh, basket, if you catch my drift.

Bukowski was always very proud of his legs.

He was proud of his own legs, there´s quite a lot about them in the collections Most Beautiful Woman In Town and Notes Of A Dirty Old Man and the novels Women and Factotum. I read an account by a movie producer of a party he was at in the sixties where Bukowski showed up and took a dump in the sink and the standout recollection for the guy was the elephantine legs he had.

Jeff Tweedy......mmmmmmm
Now I do as I please and lie through my teeth. Someone might get hurt but it won't be me. I should probably feel cheap but I just feel free and a little bit empty. No it isn't so hard to get close to me. There will be no arguments. We will always agree. And I will try and be kind when I ask you to leave. We will both take it easy. But if you stay too long inside my memory, I will trap you in a song tied to a melody and I will keep you there so you can't bother me. |
