It sucks ass.
My bones hurt and I cry all the time.
They gave me some pill to help, which it does, but I feel groggy and odd, like this is a dream.

I have a general question. When people talk about "Rehab," is it in bad taste to ask what for? I mean I hate to make assumptions about such a thing, so what are we talking about? Booze? Blow?

They should be giving you Librium or Adavan or something, that really helped me, I'm justing wondering why you are having such a rough time with the withdrawl symptoms...
It's probably the most difficult thing you'll ever do in your life, the bright side about that is everything else in life seems a lot easier in comparison

Well Ativan, Librium, Xanax, etc. wouldn't really be helpful if you're withdrawing from something like ... Ativan, Librium and Xanax. She said pills, so that could be the case. But if its prescription stuff they should wean you off slowly instead of stopping all at once. Alcohol withdrawal can be particularly nasty. Hang in there, Betty. Fight the hallucinations!

Net Nanny is meant to keep the drunks from looking at dirty pictures. Unfortunately it kept me away from here until another drug freak showed me how to get by it...
I'm okay, still wavering on whether or not I'm really an alcoholic. I probably am, but don't want to be at all. That would mean I'd have to stop drinking!
Practicing more, that's a benefit. I look forward to the day I can serenade you all! Must go, another meeting, I'm sneaky to be in this room at all.

He was in my dream the other night, doing I don't remember what... He was kind of a bastard, and had a wicked grin. Delicious. My libido is coming back as my nervous system resurrects itself. I thought I was a horn dog before... That was all a segueway to justify my need to tell you that I would pay a dollar fitty for FB to slap my stellar ass.
I miss my cds.
Andy, if you are in the south, you may end up at Talbot where I am. Wear a FB teeshirt or something. I know its unlikely, but I think it would be really cool if two forum members end up at the same rehab. :)

FB Conspiracy, I am blessed to have a beautiful crutch. I might not be alive without it. My primary therapist assigned me to write a song about how pissed off I am at everyone here for poking at my tender parts, though not in a fun way. My working title is "emotional gang rape". Its supposed to be funny, but doesn't always come out that way... So I lapse into daydreams, naughty imaginings and real love made of ones and zeros.

Good luck.
While i don't have the pill troubles, I did just go cold turkey on smokes and drink on Dec 1st.
Been a pack a day smoker and a drinker (DRUNK at least once a week, sometimes more) for 15-20 years and decided one day I was just fucking done. There were things that pushed me over the edge, but they shall remain anonymous.
I hope you guys can kick the bullshit, cause that all it is - bullshit.

Don't worry, it won't be so bad. I went through the same thing; I spent six days in the hospitol in a methadone program over the summer. It was hard when I got out but every day things got better. After two weeks I felt 100% better, because that's when I started up again.
But anyway, good luck, I hope things work out for you. |
