I have heard him say in a couple of interviews that he had had an experience with the extra terrestrial (but that he could easily be convinced that it didn't happen). I never heard him elaborate on it. Has he ever told this story?

I think his mom told him that she saw a UFO when he was three months old, hence the "month number three" line in "Manta Ray." I think there was at least one other UFO encounter in Frank's life, though.
I heard in a bootleg where before he starts singing he says he´s been exposed to UFO's! But I had already read a lot of interviews where that was mentioned.

The live version of Planet Of Sound on the Alec Effiel 12" begins with Black exclaiming "If you've ever been exposed to a UFO like I have...!" I think that his UFO encounter happened in Nebraska...a strange light or something appeared over the house, and his Mother called the police, who apparently chased it-I think it was supposedly a big incident in the area. He stated in an interview a few years ago that he's become quite sceptical about Ufology.
