I just got back from the show in Detroit. Fuckin' amazing, no doubt.

I was wondering, though, about certain songs and whether or not they ever play them live. These are all songs I love, but have never heard of any instances of these songs being played:
Boom Chicka Boom
The Thing
Brick Is Red
Motorway To Roswell
Build High
Bam Thwock
I Can't Forget (Leonard Cohen cover)
Rock a My Soul
Born In Chicago
Weid At My School

Just curious.

Bam Thwok has been played live, but not that often

As for the rest, no chance in hell (:
I wish it wasn't so, but it is.

i'm still baffled by the omission of Rock Music and The Sad Punk. damn Pixies.

On top of those already listed, I have recordings of live radio sessions from '87 with Boom Chicka Boom, Build High and Rock a My Soul. I'm sure those were regular parts of their set at that time. Were you asking about stuff played live just since the reunion? If you are, that list would be a lot longer. A whole lot.

Yeah, I would like to hear Brick is Red, Silver, Navajo Know, Manta Ray, Motorway, Build High, Bam Thwok, Ain't Pretty at All and so many others you listed and others too, in person live. (I know some have already been played live but it would just be cool to see them). There are so many songs-- and so few spots for them to fill a set list.

they should make one tour where they only play bossanova and trompe, in their full length. especially the whole trompe (and rock music !) deserves more attention.

ohh yes, like Brian Wilson Presents Smile or the Pet Sounds tour. Or like Cure's 'Trilogy', play Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde and the 3rd set is a hits set. Would be too much for the players maybe but certainly not too much for me

Check out the Bailey's Walk site. I believe they have the 07-05-1987 show over there, which included Brick is Red and Weird at My School. Only instances of those songs I've ever heard live.
