When we walked through Little Italy I saw my reflection come right off your face I paint pictures to remember, you're too beautiful to put into words

Brillant!
Bought it on pretext of people mentioning it here, pretty good.

I saw Devotchka open for the Dresden Dolls on Holloweem and I'm hooked. They're like a mariachi band mixed with polka. Weird but cool. The band has both a fiddler and a tubist. Cool cover of Venus in Furs.
I also picked up a 45 from a new york garage band called the Roger Sisters. They have a whole post punk dance thing going on. Neat.

cassandra I got that Neil record for fifty cents at the thrift shop. Not his best but the songs with Nicolette singing with him are very beautiful. |

Yesterday's purchases (I always buy records on my birthday): - Aphex Twin - 26 Mixes For Cash: At last I found a used copy of this CD. I don't have many AFX records but this one is excellent. - Carl Craig - Fabric 25: CC's contribution to the Fabric mix series. Haven't heard it yet. - Daniel Johnston - 1990: this guy will never cease to amaze me. 1990 is absolutely amazing, it's mainly just DJ on piano or guitar, except one song with Steve Shelley and Lee Ranaldo. Includes a stunning cover of Got To Get YOu Into My Life, and my favorite DJ song ever, True Love Will Find You In The End.
Grabbed and eventually didn't buy the following (but I wish I had): - Laurent Garnier - Cloud Making Machine remixes - Pussy Galore - Right Now - Depeche Mode - a bunch of CDs on sale - Talking Heads - Naked

I lost this album so I had to buy it again to hear Grams fragile tones.
Had it burned, I had to get the real thing.

Patti Smith Horses/Horses.
The 2005 live Horse didn't really do it for me on my headphones, but I'm loving it on the stereo.

This one is a prime example of how you can have some pretty crappy lyrics and still make a bad ass record. Probably my fave Husker album. |

Viva Roxy Music!
Splendid, absolutely splendid. If you've ever been curious about this band this record is a great place to start. RM at their zenith.

I didn't buy this, but it was a Christmas present from my mate (I haven't listened to it yet, but I remember the music being pretty good when I saw the movie!):
