David Byrne is playing with The Arcade Fire coming up at the Hollywood Bowl. that sounds like a go-to show.
Hollywood Bowl: beautiful outdoor venue where you're allowed to bring in your own food and drinks (yes, alcoholic drinks) and smoke |

Oh God. I just saw that Smog is playing in Paris on June 24th, and DANIEL JOHNSTON on June 5th. I'm about to cry. I know there's a good chance he'll play 20 minutes and screw up most of the songs but I'm dying to see him live. DANIEL F'IN JOHNSTON! Yeah!

Just knew that Nick Cave is coming here, after knowing that the Arcade Fire are playing with the Pixies, what else could I want!
I still can't beleive, same festival, on the day after the Pixies, I'm a happy women, and lucky!!!

actually the whole reason I bought it up was to see if we could to come to sort of arrangement, if you stick to the left hand side of the venue and I stick to the right we should be able to avoid the terrible meeting of the forum members...

Just read a live review for Fantomas in New York and if they are anywhere near as good as what the reviewer said or even as I imagine them to be I'll be uncontrollable.

ok, so tonight was supposed to be the big "which gig do i go to" night. doves were supposed to play at one venue and embrace and snow patrol at another. so i didn't buy tickets for either just waiting it out, then doves rescheduled for june 6. and then i went and tried to buy tix for the snow patrol/embrace show and they were going for $75. i really only wanted to see embrace (shut up cheesy) and i couldn't justify the price so i skipped out and played poker with my buds. i feel kinda shitty now but i notice embrace have just announced their own tour coming this way early-mid june (which makes more sense because their latest album doesn't come out until may 22), they are in seattle june 16 (same night as futureheads) so i'm hoping they come here on the 15th or earlier (best case snenario = futureheads + embrace), they both have gaps according to pollstar. that being said i spent my ticket money on these upcoming gigs:
bloc party - may 29
doves - june 9
spoon - june 17 (new album out tuesday) |
