No Queens tonight, I think they're jinxed. This was a rescheduled show!

Oh dear what happened? They were supposed to be giving away exclusive 7-inches to everyone who attended too, as a sorry for not making it last time. Perhaps you will get a 12-inch if they finally play.

I booked tickets to see Weezer at Manchester Academy on August 23rd. That's just before Reading Festival - YAY!

Interpol is great live. My daughter saw them in June at the KROQ Weenie Roast.

Did you exchange?
Can you Mr. Grieves?

Just found out The Black Keys are coming to my area in Sept. Can't wait. They are even playing at one of my favorite small venues.

Just bought my ticket to the solo Frank show on Cape Code the night after the Pixies' Rhode Island show. It's a small venue, right by the water. I forsee drunken swimming after the show.

Two nights of Frank in a row. Psyched!

Thanks Dallas for the info. This will be my first time seeing them, and I had a feeling they are the type to put on one hell of a show. We will have to swap notes after the shows in Sept. I will be seeing them in Portland, OR.

I'm going to be seeing TMBG later this month, and Tori Amos and Ben Folds in the coming one.

Will do. I went to my first show expecting to really focus in on Dan's guitar playing and how he creates all that sound and ended up not being able to take my eyes off of Patrick who just bangs the shit out of his kit. Hes incredible.

Well Interpol on Friday night were amazing once again. This band just blow me away. I really really believe this band are the real deal and in no way deserved of the lazy Joy Division copyists tag that they received early on in their careers from some uneducated quarters.

It was awe-inspiring to watch a truly great band at work again.

As a side note, I love their lighting at gigs. It reminds me of the Pixies. They prefer to be in the shadows. Suits their music so well.

I hate all you guys. Whats the deal with me not going to any fun shows anymore?

I'm going to Siren Fest tomorrow. Featuring the likes of Spoon, Q & Not U, Mates of State, Nine Black Alps, and Saul Williams.

I just found out about a free Clap Your Hands Say Yeah show on August 10th. I'll probably check that out.

Sir Rock, you should hop on an Amtrak out of Penn Station and meet me at the Albany show, dude. Seriously. It's 2 hours from the city.

Depending on the time of the show, I could conceivably go. I get of work around five most days, could be in the city by six, at the show by eight. Possible, I suppose.

billy idol is putting on great shows, steve stevens is an awesome guitarist, seriously. the vox sucked where i was sitting but you could tell everyone was having a good time, that shit is infectious. and damn, the new songs sounded better than the old ones, no shit.

I should post something about Monday night's amazing Mastodon show - best I've seen them yet. I had an AAA pass so I got to watch Brann's drumming up close and was blown away.

I ordered tickets for Depeche Mode in February. I don't know if it's cool or not.

'Antony and the Johnsons' tomorrow in Pollença. I'm not going because I knew it today and I've already made plans for tomorrow night.

Do you think one day I'll regret losing it?

I am going to see The Prodigy on their Singles tour in November. That should be just about my messiest gig ever.

I also found out today that my local heroes Nine Black Alps will be supporting Weezer for their UK tour next month.

Local band Pleasant Grove this Friday night. The Wrens are playing later in August, then Interpol comes through in September or thereabout. I'll have to see them based some of your reviews.

It's a Sophie's Choice situation, Brian:

Interpol, nydolls, bsp
or
Pixies, GO4, Rilo Kiley, 9BlackAlps

We may be on opposite sides of the city, my friend.

P.S. I dare you to make your Oasis comment on forum.
