who knows, Frank may have told Kilborn's people that it was off of DW. I believe Frank has a twisted sense of humor and really doesn't play the game! I thought it was an excellent performance. I've watched it three or four times already. Although CHOS wouldn't be my first choice ( I really do like the song ) I realize that I totally respect Frank's decision and most of all we don't understand all the variables. Frank rocks, period! Thanks man! |

i thought that it was bad choice for a live performance. i would have gone with something a little more upbeat that would include appearances from the other band members.
anyways, he did a good job with the song he picked. |

I recorded it to my PC with my tuner card, but the audio and video desynch somewhere in the middle...gradually. I don't even know what format the software recorded the MPEG to, cause it's definitely not VCD-compliant (it's like, 238MB for 4 minutes). I'm sure someone can do better... |

frank chooses cold heart of stone (CHOS), one of the slower songs on BLD, not as lively as others, why? frank wrote in the liners to B sides that he was initially surprized at the popularity of Wave of Mutilation (UK surf version), said something to the effect of slower can be more rocking - i think this slower, less intense, less dramatic side (e.g. CHOS) of frank appeals to fans who don't know frank so well/ at all. it appeals also to die-hard fans, but the average person out there is more likely to enjoy CHOS than 1826 on a first listen. |

I wonder how many people tuned into the show thinking it was going to be Jack Black.

It's entirely possible the rest of the band was busy, and so FB picked a song the two of them could play themselves. Who knows? |

Thomas, that has to be one of the cutest pictures ever. Looks like he is trying to solo. They say a picture has a thousand words, I think that one has two-thousand. Frank and the lad can divy the words up.

I'm not one to complain about Kilborn, even though his jokes aren't THAT funny. He's been getting guests that other hosts would have otherwise ignored, and I appreciate the fact that I even got to see Frank on TV. But I'd still choose Conan in the Pepsi Challenge of late late night hosts. Maybe I think he's cool because he books cool people. Guilty by association? |

I never thought Kilborn was funny, but I admit the episode with Frank was pretty damn funny (mainly the beginning). Conan is cool as hell, definitely hilarious. I've always been an NBC late night guy myself. |

Yeah, the first 10 minutes of Kilborn that night was funny. I taped all the interviews, then before frank came on i asked myself, "Am i ever going to watch these terrible interviews again?". So i rewound the tape and taped over goldblum and sorbo. I kept the intro to the show though.
