Having heard FB resurrect some old standards of late ala Surf Epic, Velvety, Modern Age, etc. I heard from an extremely [un]reliable source that FB+C had a new version of Tossed w/ lyrics in the can. Sounded like a good idea to me anyway, even if not the complete truth...

Thats kind of weird, I was thinking of Tossed with lyrics yesterday, and was wandering if Frank was going to release it seeing as he's starting to release all his instrumentals with lyrics.

I have a version of Tossed with lyrics taken from the Live USA 1993 bootleg. Surprisingly I found it on tape in Dublin last year, and then came across it on cd in Beijing, so Frank's even popular in the Peoples Republic.

The lyrics are short, I cannot remember what they were exactly but Frank definately sings 'Whey, I must have been tossed....' and I cannot remember the rest (not that there's much more). Its great with the lyrics, I used to listen to it when I was skateboarding and it added to the adrenaline buzz. It would be great if he did re-release it, in fact I'll have a listen to it tonight and write the lyrics tomorrow.

Cheers

tossed was played at the moore theater in seattle in 93 with lyrics..they seemed to be made up as he went along...basically it was just a couple lines repeated a ton of times..

it might have been done with lyrics at the commodore the night before in vacouver as well, although all i remember about that gig was a raucous audience pogoing up and down (the floor was shaking!!)during what i beleive was the only performance of "amnesia"...there were no vocals to amnesia though that night, probably was something they worked out at soundcheck since the song never existed till next album as a b-side

I listened to the CD a few days ago and tried to decipher what FB was singing. As the cd is not of the best quality I only picked up a couple of lines:

Whey... must have been tossed down here
shade(?) stripped naked and tossed....

and thats where it ends, there were a couple more lines but I couldn't work out what he was singing.

I believe "shade" is "shaved." That's my understanding from what people have been saying.

I don't think he would redo tossed, mainly since it's out on a major realese. The other ones that have been redone were B-Sides/Unreleased
