It's on TV tonight (in the US) - anyone else going to be watching? It is one of my favorite. Gene Wilder for President! |

OOOOOHHHHHH, can't believe I missed this for the girls... busy painting and letting them trash the house in the mean time. Stupid me should have checked the tv listings earlier in the day.
Em, you're SOOOOOOOO close to 500! Go girl!!

Nice. That's like one of the only roles I can stand to watch Gene Wilder do. And he is GREAT in that role.
The meaning of lame: I have the "first" DVD version of it, which is a nice transfer and in the orginal aspect ratio (about 1/1.85)widescreen, but they released "the" Willie Wonka for the ages last year or so, and it's only available full-screen! Bastards.

I love this movie, it's one of the greatest ever made (and of course, one of my favorites). It's timeless. You love it as a kid, then as you grow up, you realize how trippy it actually is. |

willy wonka scared the shit out of me as a child. those oompa loompas were nasty fellas. the bit on the train is surreal - but gene wilder was great. oh the nostalgia

My two favorite quotes;
"All questions MUST be submitted in writing. Thank you"
and
"so shines a good deed in a weary world".
Yay! I actually cried at the end. WHAT a sap!!
girlie so groovy I want you to know... |

Oh, I cry at everything - so it is all relative. This year I sobbed (SOBBED!) at It's A Wonderful Life. It's not like I don't know what happens, but still, I was boo-hooing all over the place. Gawd. |
