I just found this forum the other day and I was muy excited. It was long overdue. Anyways.....I've been reading some of the survivor threads and been surprised at some of the songs that were voted off early as well as the overall winner. I thought it would be interesting to see which FB albums were the favorites.
Here is my list. The top three are definitely my favorites, after that they are all just about equal except for COR, which is my least favorite and least listened to.
Self Titled
Teenager of the Year
Pistolero
Devil's Workshop
Black Letter Days
Dog in the Sand
Oddballs
Frank Black and the Catholics
Cult of Ray

Welcome aboard! My favorites tend to vary from week to week. Right now it's:

Oddballs (just finished transcribing the lyrics and can't get Remake/Remodel out of my head!)
Frank Black
Black Letter Days
Pistolero
FB & the C
Dog in the Sand
Teenager of the Year
Devil's Workshop
Sunday Sunny Mill Valley Groove Day
Cult of Ray

But it could be completely different tomorrow. Eh.

I figured a list of this type had been done at some point, but I looked back a few pages and didn't see one, so I thought I would start a new one for my first post.

Incidentally, I met Frank briefly on Dec. 5th after his show in Dallas. Very cordial. No grumpiness observed. Click on my profile to see a picture.

How can so many people love 1826? I think this is Frank's worst song ever. It gets on my nerves.

well since not so long ago frank black meant nothing to me except for a lyric in a bloodhound gang song im still waiting for all the rest of the albums to arrive at my doorstep. however with the big fat figure of 3 albums with frank black on em i own here is my preference...

1/ self titled (after hearing teenager aswell as this i knew it was common fact that frank was 99 1/2 % the driving force of the pixies [before i thout it was just 90%!] ten percenter is may fave also 2 spaces, the keyboarded up beach boys track and more. this album also contains my fave ever instrumental track!)

2/ teenager (my first frank album i bought the same day as trompe le monde as the self titled one was outta stock. killer double album with my fave tracks being ole mulholland, hostess, freedom rock, white noise maker. also has the greatest 2 starting and greatest 2 ending tracks ever! [hang on maybe this i like most])

3/ dog in the sand (only got yesterday so i havent absorbed its power yet, robert onion is the first real standout for me, aswell as blast off!)

;D

I'm sure it has been posted before, but what is this Sunday Sunny Valley Groove day I keep hearing of. Can anybody send me a copy or somethin?

Oops fogot Dog in the Sand. Stick it in at #5.5 in my list (fave song: Stupid Me)

It could be above Pistolero. I think DITS has more good songs than Pistolero. But for me, the good songs on Pistolero are just tooooooo good (Western Star, Such a Wire, 85 Weeks).
