Every year on christmas day, the Belgian radio-station "Studio Brussel" has a program called "De tijdloze 100" (the timeless 100), where listeners send in their top-3 (or more, I don't know) of all time. This year, the Pixies ranked nr 14 with where is my mind (which is like 33 places better than last year, probably due to the recent cover of the song) and 90 with monkey gone to heaven. Number 1 was Smells like teen spirit. If anyone is interested, I could post the entire list.

Deus must be a local band to have 6 songs in the top 100. Top "anything" lists are almost impossible to appease everyone. Leaving out anything from The Beatles is certainly bound to piss people off, and people will probably debate bands who did make the list but a differnent and better song should have been chosen for them.
Just seeing the Pixies in a top 'anything' list makes it suspect.

Yeah, that list was probably made by one guy, personal lists are like that, a lot of songs by a few bands, some of whom clearly aren't "top 100" stuff, but just personal favs. Nothing wrong with it, but it takes away some of the authoritative aspect. |

I agree that it's strange that the Beatles aren't in this list. As for dEUS, yes they're a local band, and, as noted elsewhere, one of their albums was produced by Eric Drew Feldman.

No it's not. It's made by the listeners of the radio station. Didn't you read my first post?
