| I realize this is only very loosely related, but he has been mentioned on this board several times before and I understand the Clash are one of FB's influenced. I was shocked and saddened to learn that Joe Strummer of the CLash has died. No word so far why or how, but good Lord, was this man responsible for a lot of great music. RIP. |

I so did not want to believe this that I went to CNN.com. Then burst into tears. I was just having a conversation about Joe Strummer last night and how hard he kicks ass. We will not see his peer again.

This is terrible, I can't believe this! He was only 50 for christ sake!! Earthquake Weather is a great record and his band always killed whenever I saw them. I am very sad.

| Cpt Max, Ive just read that he died of a heart attack, he was only 50 as well, too young!!! Clash were a cool band, its sad news. |

I was just getting into him
I downloaded some Clash songs a week ago
really liked them and stuff
and was already downloading some Joe Strummer songs
which seemed even better
this sucks
