okay, fellow FB.netters, i have a tough one for you.

i'm trying to identify a mystery song that FB has played live as a cover. it's on at least two bootlegs:

The Moore Theater, Seattle, WA, 30 May 1993 (also known as "No Big Deal")

and

The Vic Theatre, Chicago, IL, 8 Jun 1993

it's the track that immediately follows "Theme from 'One Step Beyond'" which is the opener on both shows. where "Theme" is a slowish spooky tune heavy on keyboards, this other song is up-tempo and zippy, very surf. at the Moore Theater show, FB says that the song is by The Ventures, but he doesn't name it. also: i know that this song is not just "part two" of "Theme", as they play "Theme" on the 6/24/93 radio show with TMBG and it does not include the fast part.

any ideas? any rabid Ventures fans?

please advise,

the big galoof

I believe I have a show from this era on video--it's a smoking tune. Fun to watch Frank playing the lead on that one. Will check my surf collection and see if I can match it up.
