Congrats to your lady, Brian!
I'm sloooowly recovering from the semester. I've got one student who keeps sending me long, distraught emails whining about her grade (it was a B, for freak's sake! A perfectly respectable grade!) but other than that there seems to be little fallout. Nothing that beer and jambalaya can't fix, anyhow.

Uh, yeah a little, alot of stuff is still closed down like bars and restaurants, but people are starting to come back to my English school and not too many people are wearing masks anymore. 8 new people were confirmed with having SARS today which is much better than 2 weeks ago when 150 people a day were being confirmed..... still though in a city where the population is between 12-14 million its fuck all really. What are you hearing on the news in good old Blighty??

I heard on the radio today that Taiwan now seems to have a steep rise in the incidence of SARS, and that the first cases might have reached Cambodia (presumably from China). As for China itself, the word "decline" is being mentioned frequently (this is an attempt to be featured on http://www.juvalamu.com/qmarks/#current - thanks, Em)
