I have submitted info on Dave Phillips and Rich Gilbert to an awesome guitar website called www.everythingsg.com . As you can imagine, it heralds the Gibson SG (think Angus Young from AC/CD if you can't place what one looks like) as the greatest electric guitar of all time. It has a nice database of celebrities who play the SG, and I sent him info on Rich and Dave after having seen pics on this site from the Athens show where both were playing SG's. I linked a couple of those pics (hope whomever posted them doesn't mind...just trying to spread the good word to the masses) and the webmaster will link this site on his next update. Anyway, go check out the site...it is extremely well-run, very interactive and informative.

P.S. On everythingsg.com in the celebrities section, check out Pic #2 of Eric Bloom from Blue Oyster Cult...if you, like me, think the SNL Behind the Music BOC skit with Will Ferrell as "Gene Frinkel" starring Christopher Walken as "Bruce Dickinson" is the funniest damn thing you have ever seen, you can see where Will got the inspiration for his character. The guy's a spitting image of Ferrell in that skit. Later. |

I have to jump in and respond before this thread I started gets 100 views and no replies.
Damn what a powerful thread! It must've been so good that it left nothing for anyone to add...either that or so boring people hit the back button before they got to the end of it.
Anyway, FranknWeezer, I thought it was a great post!!!

Sorry FW, I should have responded, especially due to the fact that I am the bio elf. I'm a slacker, what can I say (ask Dave N, he's STILL waiting for the rest of the bios!). Anyway, good work! Feel free to use the info in my bios of them if need be.
