From what i've heard, Kerry....
I like Kucinich in some respects too, but Kerry seems more realistic.

I'm not thrilled about any of the choices. And I think at this point I would lean towards Edwards b/c I find Kerry to be pretty slick.
As for Nader, he needs to just stay home. Idiot.

What's Edward's position on gay marriage? That's the only thing that puts me off about Kerry.
I'm assuming they're both pro-choice.
I don't think Nader will do well this time because I think most people's priority is to get Bush out of office by whatever means necessary.

Not particularly picking on you A4C but one hears stuff like "by whatever means necessary" from the Dems all the time. Gore, and now Kerry, will do "whatever it takes". If a Repub said something like that the press would jump all over it from the presumption that the "Repubs are lowdown, dirty snakes and everybody knows it" whereas coming from the Dems it just shows the nobility and dedication of David's stuggle to fell Goliath. Oh, sure it's Good vs Evil, so only Good is entitled to employ whatever it takes.
Considering the pervasiveness of this bias in the media and academia, it's a wonder that no Dem presidential candidate has pulled 50% of the popular vote since Carter in 1976. Without this bias the Dem Party would have ceased to exist sometime around 1984. And yes I know all about Fox News, so please spare me. Fox isn't even a partial antidote to the poison spread by the networks, CNN, MSNBC, Reuters, AP, BBC, and the AFP. |

if there were a liberal bias in the mainstream media, several things about teh Bush administration (such as his AWOL status from the National Guard) would have been made public long before now because more investigation would have been done, instead of reporters just lapping up what they're told by the White House

Yup. But I think that show has been cancelled, so hopefully we won't be too confused.
