Join the queue here to moan about the Brixton gigs, which apparently sold out in 10 like minutes flat from 9am this morning. I know we all think the Pixies should have played a bigger venue or devoted a few more nights to their time in England blah blah,
BUT, let's make no bones about it, it's mainly the fault of the fucking cunt ticket touts who set their alarm clocks this morning so they could buy up maybe half the tickets going. Now I'm a peaceable guy most of the time, but these people are scum who make easy money -you might as well call it blood money.
So well done if you're a fan who got lucky and 'you fucking die' to all the touts and mean money grabbing cunts out there for taking away what should have been ours for the taking.
Am I really gonna line up now on ebay with £100s for a ticket, can most of us afford that....?
Anyways, add your comments, it is sour grapes.... I'll just consoul myself with the fact I saw Frank 3 times last year....yeah, because that's the same thing.......... grrr |

I'm pretty pissed off myself, the only thing which could salvage this shitty experience is for the Pixies to add more dates. |

lol! they do, but be careful there cowboy...
complaints have been made to ebay about the blatent touting, hopefully they'll cancel the accounts of the touts. they'll still make their money, but at least it'll make it slightly harder for them...

Man, I had two tickets, one for the second, one for the third. Everytime I tried to confirm with my credit card, I got a system non-response. Told myself, ah, I'll wake up in three or four hours and get them then...

Why dont all of you who dont have tickets but live in london, form a vigilante group and beat the shit out of the touts outside brixton, steal the tickets and throw the leftovers into the crowds outside the gig. I'd do it |

Might be a plan; just nip into an off-licence to buy the correct currency (Special Brew) and you'd have yourself an army...... |

Its fucking shit isnt it, they better announce some more dates and give us fair warning. The sickening thing is that i will probably end up giving in to the touts and payong £100 quid for a ticket off ebay if they dont announce any more dates/festivals. I hate myself for it but i just cannot miss this reunion.

Surely they'll add more dates, if not in the UK then in Ireland or Europe... could be a good chance to go to a Pixies gig abroad.

It's total bollocks! I can't believe there was no limitation on the amount of tickets they gave to people. They really should have some kind of system in place to stop this happening. Hopefully they won't send the tickets out until the last minute in order to fuck up the touts plan!
I really hope they add some more dates and the promoters get a decent plan in order this time.

there is a limitation, i think it's either 6 tickets or 8 tickets per credit card (for gigs anyway)... if you have more than one card though i think you can get around it. i don't *think* it checks the billing address. although i could be wrong.

okay, not sure if this is any help or not, but on another email list I'm on, this got brought up - so as I'm off sick from work today, I decided to go through my old tickets collection, see if I could find any old Brixton ones... and lo and behold, I did! (yes, keeping your old tickets can come in handy sometimes!)
on the back of the ticket it said "Tickets cannot be re-sold without the express permission of Brixton academy"
so, if Metropolis are the promoters of the Pixies gigs, chances are, someone could complain to Brixton Academy about the ebay tickets, and see how closely their terms and conditions are actually followed.
hope it's some help anyway.. I couldn't find any more Brixton tickets to double check this with... |

I understand the frustrations, i was up at the crack of dawn with 3 ticket agency sites open at the ready they must have been the longest 10 mins from 8.50 onwards. As soon as one said they were available i was in.
My missus said oh why didn't you buy 4 and sell 2 on ebay....they don't understand wives tho do they!
I really hope they announce more dates for all those who missed out. But as my other topic says surely they will do galstonbury?, or another festival in the UK? |

I think that i'll relent and pay |£100 for a ticket. They're one of my faviourite bands of all time so i don't really feel there is any choice, i have to go!. I mean, i might pay £100 for a haircut or pair of trainers so its a small price to pay.......right? |

Gracie thats true.... my ticket to see the Pixies is gonna cost about 500 quid, with the flight back and all.... I reckon I'll spend less than a week in the UK for this gig. It's gonna be worth it though, every penny.

I don't know the details of the promoters but the Brixton Academy itself might be a good place to start

Here is the reply from Brixton Academy if anyone is interested?
----------------------------------------------
Dear Karen,
I am sorry to hear that you didn't manage to get hold of Pixies tickets on Saturday. We did have 210,000 hits on our web site on that day. The ticket agents and the promoter are aware of the problem with touts selling tickets on e-bay and they are trying to stop it by cancelling any ticket orders that matches with the email addresses on e-bay. There was a limit of 4 tickets per customer to prevent touts getting their hands on a large number of tickets.
At the moment there are no more shows confirmed with Pixies, but my advise to you is to keep a close eye on the web site for more tickets going on sale. You never know..

thanks for that. i hope they are looking into the touting issue... i got a reply from ebay btw, they said they had taken action against at least one person i reported, and the pixies stuff seem to be missing from his account now... (including on the previous items)... he still has shit loads of other gig tickets he's selling though...
