FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
I am not a happy bunny. The one bloddy night I get the courage to go out, thinking 'oph its ok, they wont go on sale' they fucking do! I get told when im on my third bottle of wine, at 3am!!! Knowing no one with me has the money to buy them, and my bank wont trust me enough to give me a card i can buy things over the phone/net with!!! Cldnt even get hold of mother to convince her to buy them - not that she could because shes broke.
MAN. I havent seen hardly any of my fucking favourite bands, because they're all split up or DEAD. I only just managed to get tickets for sonic youth in april.
I finally managed to see Frank last year thanks to my ex and his compulsive ticket buying thing...
AHH. IM so angry. Touts should all be lined up and shot. in the stomach so it takes them ages to die.
If any one has spare tickets, I am begging you. PLease, give one to me!!!!! I only want one, but will take two if you need to offload them together.
PLEASE PLEASE!!!! Help a sad pixie fan. :(

they should stagger the release of tickets so that say, only 200 are sold every half hour. That would give everyone a chance, including the shitty computer systems

That's what they do now in France for some events... they don't release all the tickets at the same time... |

And we say the french are idiots., clearly not.
I think Dave should forward this too frank. But realistically, i men\, hes a bit busy right now, is nt he? I mean, how much is he gonna give a damn. They cant play many more dates, i mean they are in france like right after...
But, if Frank ever reads this - FRANK I am begging you, make the touts tickets invalid and let your dedicated fans have those tickets. Please!?

Ticketweb are going to call back on Monday.
The transaction was made on my gf's bank card and she just called them up twice. The first call got the response that 'no transaction has been taken' and that was that. However, after checking the bank account and confirming that the exact amount for four tickets was taken out of her account this morning, she called Ticketweb back and got a different answer from a helpful guy. They explained that the server had totally crashed, that there ARE several transactions that have been taken and that they will be unable to advise or sort the issue out until Monday (I wonder will it actually take that long, or are we talking about a lack of tecchie back up cover on Ticketweb's part? Customer satisfaction and all that....). The guy apparently said that if tickets aren't allocated, a full refund will be given (whoop dee f'in doo)....

I wish all of you fans in the UK good luck for getting the tickets. I find this atrocious. They fucked all of us over this time.

it's a bit shitty... man we even got tickets for radiohead not long ago, and that sold out in a few hours! lol! this was just mad. pure madness. not helped by touts grabbing a large amount and ticketweb screwing up.

They'd better be supporting the Chili Peppers, I just managed to get a ticket for thier Hyde Park gig in London in hope that the Pixies (and QOTSA) will be there (and following my failure at getting a ticket for either of the Brixton shows this morning). This is a dire state of affairs. On a plus side I'm pretty sure there will be more dates added at Brixton for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it just makes sense considering this is a 'one-off' tour. |

Oh my god this is one of the most dramatic days of my life so far. After all the hoohar with tickets this morning, my boys in red go from 3-0 up to 3-3. With a couple of minutes left they grab a dramatic winner. Phew-eeee!!!
I wish I wasn't staying in tonight otherwise there might be more in store for me later. Then again there is always my six numbers!!! |

Well, here is my story... went to sleep with 2 browser windows open, stuck at the confirmation page. Woke up 5 hours later and they were still stuck, but lo and behold I had a confirmation email waiting for me! So it seems that even though I never saw a confirmation page, one of the two orders went through. I then called my credit card company and they claim that *2* authorizations went through from ticketweb... so who knows what the deal is. The recording on the ticketweb customer service line still says "If you're calling about the Pixies, call on monday."
As for tickets showing up on eBay... that happens all the time in the states, even with laws that limit the resale value of tickets. For example, in New York it is legal to sell tickets for only 10% above the face value. Of course they always sell for more. Also, many scapers (touts as you call them ) have computer programs that can go through the steps of buying tickets on ticket selling websites faster than you can type your first name. Ticketmaster.com recently solved this problem by employing a "captcha" (type the word that appears in an image) -- this can stop many people. But ticketweb.co.uk does not have this feature and they really should by now.
Sorry to hear about everyone's grief. I may have some extras depending on what happens to my second order. Won't really know for a few months, but I'll be sure to offer them up here if I have any.
Oh, and I wanted to add to make sure to check your email. If you have a spam filter, check those messages too -- the subject of the email is "Sale Confirmation" which could easily be thought of as spam I think.

I've let Ticketweb aware of our complaints and have asked them to answer our question as to wether or not the people who got to click on the confirmation button, have any tickets or not. I am sure they will fob me off but I had to try!!! |

Well I was just talking to my friend who works at Cooked Vinyl, and she said she will report all fo the Ebay stuff to FB manager, and something should then come of that. She is also going to suggest that he take a look at this site and how many fans have bee let down, with the view of adding extra dates.
She also said shell turn on her charm and see if i can get on the guest list! But that unlikely.

Extra dates would be a Godsend. There's a lot of people I know who are desperate to go and don't post here, who had the same problems we've all discussed. Someone's helped me out with one ticket, but my gf's just as big an obsessive and she doesn't have one.....

Man, I feel for alot of you fellow Brits today.... afterall I was almost ready to throw my laptop out of my window earlier on. My mate in the UK said he'd tried to get tickets from those cunts at Ticketweb, only to have the system crash..... then he sent me an email and he'd actually managed to book a ticket for the both of us.
Still, the whole organisation of this has been a complete shambles, and has caused more people to be pissed off than happy, which is completely wrong. I know I have been lucky, very lucky... I know my friend has ordered 4 tickets, 3 of which are taken. I'll email him on Monday and if there is a spare going then I'll let you guys know about it as I understand the situation going on here.
It shows how much the Brits want to see the Pixies again, and due to popular demand another date should be added... what harm could it do, it would certainly mean that they get paid more cash!!!

Today was was truly a horrible day.
I was manning the internet, my wife was manning the mobile but it was the same story as many of the rest of you ie no luck. Gave up a 9.30 and traipsed up to Camden on a long shot. The people in the ticket shops were just as gutted as I was - none of them had even heard about the dates!
Have'nt missed a FB gig in London for a long time - could it not have possible to release a small amount of tickets at the box office ? we would have queued days in advance. Thanks very much NME - you wont even review FB & C albums but as soon as the Pixies are back on the scene theyre spreading the word.

surely they'll put an extra show on..... I agree that tout should be shot though. I went to a Flaming Lips gig last Jan where the tickets were being sold for about 100 quid outside Bristol Academy. When the gig was about to begin I asked a tout how much he would sell one to me and he said a fiver.... so I got my mate and when we came back I found out he was being a complete fucking arse and having me on. Had I been a rock hard bastard I would have kicked the shit out of him and stolen all of his cash..... I hate touts!

Well i managed (i think) to get tickets. At least I got a confirmation e-mail so Im hoping all is well. I can't believe the crappy ticketweb system fell over in such a big arse way. My booking stuck at the confirmation so i tried again and got a message saying something like 'card already used to book tickets'. Later on I got the confirmation email. I just hope it's for real and I really have got tickets. I also think eBay touts are complete bastards and I hope they get all they deserve. |

oh well I'm off to bed...... I hope this shit works out for the guys who didn't manange to get a ticket (i.e. another couple of dates are announced) and that overnight our pathetic twatty fuck of a Prime Minister Tony 'Ive got W Bush's excrement on the end of my cock' Blair starts a 'War on Touterism'..... which would be much more justified than his decision to allow our troops join the war in Iraq.

lol! i feel quite dirty, i've already reported a few obvious touts (who only sell tickets and quite obviously make a living from it) to ebay... i feel a bit like a snitch, but at the end of the day it's partly due to them that i've been screwed out of the chance of seeing the pixies at a proper venue, rather than a festival.

Even if you were a "rock hard bastard", touts look out for each other so you would have been murdered by the rest of them. Touts are usually into other illegal activities such as drug dealing and are generally nasty people. I have no respect for them whatsoever, they are scum and should all be eaten by anacondas!!! |

Actually NME reviewed the last two FB&C albums at least, but you can't blame them just 'cos they don't rate the Catholics but highly rate the Pixies (they voted Doolittle the second best album of all time), it's just their opinion. I mean they don't rate Enya!!! I mean I can't believe it.......ENYA!!! She has changed the face of tranquil/meditation music forever!!!
